Anyone know how to get a 2degrees E303 vodem with 2degrees sim running on a Vodafone Home Gateway, Huawei HG556a HW.C

I've tried logging into the admin menu on the router, it tells me it gets a connection (Vodafone Spain for some reason), but doesn't actually get the internet working. I can't force it to log on to the 2degrees network. Any help would be hugely appreciated, I live in a rural location with incredibly slow adsl but a reasonable HSPA connection, and want to use the router to provide internet to my wifi devices.

Is that vodem in the approved list to work with the HG556a?

I'm not sure, they're both Huawei products of a similar generation. Where could I find out?

Ok, so I used the wrong lingo, but would greatly appreciate helpful responses. It's a 2degrees usb modem, and a vodafone home gateway.

My experiance from another router was that if the USB stick was supported then it just plugs in, shows up and works, if not supported then it doesnt work.

just because its made by the same company doesnt mean anything, there are a tonne of different chipsets for 3g/4g wireless and they have a habit of putting them into very similar looking plastic cases with confusingly similar model numbers even tho they are totally different products.

Thanks. It does plugs in, show up, and says it has a connection, but won't let me access the Internet. I will look into whether it is supported more.

The usb device and sim work perfectly when connected directly with the PC, it won't work however with the router.
