I wondered why I couldn't get to the ASB website from home and a rather helpful(!) call from a NZ based (!) ASB call centre tech instructed me that my IP was black listed on Bright Cloud.

I'm on unlimited UFB plan so I assume the IP is actually dynamic...and the entire pool is blacklisted?
My current IP  is 121.99.186.222

According to brightcloud "proxy found" and "network found" are my issues.
Until today..I ran a Tor relay.. (gotta to something with 100/50!)...so perhaps this has got me hit with the naughty stick?

No issues here on my end. What equipment are you running or are you just running the plain old Genius White router? I shouldn't think a Tor Relay would of gotten you black listed.

Oh, a TOR relay would get him blacklisted by some services. You have no idea what is going in and out of that relay - that's the point.

Who guarantees that relay is not sending spam for pharma products, or being used to sell objectionable material, etc?

You have to be really brave to run a TOR exit and not be worried about consequences.

Was a bridge relay I believe, not suicidal enough to run an exit

Late to this and probably unsurprising but I am not aware of any such blacklisted Orcon ip ranges. I think the OP has answered his question.

I'm not sure he has, if he was only running a relay then I'm not sure how he'd get the IP address blacklisted.

I switched to MyRepublic today (or rather will once UFF sort their provisioning out) so it's purely academic/someone else's problem at this point. My IP with MyRepublic will be static so definitely no more tor for me!

I can not send emails from my orcon account as everything comes back saying I am blacklisted. I also cannot access my asb online account via app or web using my router at home.. Has been like this for a good week and good to see someone else is having problems. I would ring the call centre but we all know where that gets you...

On the phone to the Phillipines and apparently it is my computer that is causing me to not connect to fastnet asb, I need to change pcs and that will fix it or I need to ring asb and ask them why they are blocking my computer Lolol. Brb need to hit my head against the wall for a bit.

I'm not even going to bother trying to sort out the email issue..

Is there anyway of fixing this problem? I use Orcon UFB Unlimited and had been logging into ASB fine with no issues then all of a sudden a few days ago, I can't log in. It took me a while to figure out it was my ISP and ASB since when I used my mobile data the issue when away. Unlike the initial person, I didn't do anything that would get me blacklisted at all so really unsure why this has happened.  Any suggestions on how to fix since I'm tired of the run around with ASB and Orcon customer service. Thanks.

Having the same problem here at the moment. I'm with Orcon and have had no problems. Went to log in to ASB last night to pay rent/expenses and I can't connect. Try on the mobile app (conected through wifi) and no luck there either.

However it's all fine when I connect through my mobile data.

I have no idea what the problem could be. Has anyone else sorted the issue or do I need to spend hours talking to Orcon?

This is rather concerning.  Could the affected users please PM me with your Orcon usernames?  We'll look into this forthwith.  Thank you.
