Is anyone else experiencing a huge increase in spam via the iServe email servers?

Something changed at about the same time they changed spam filters from Death2Spam to CanIt.
They appear to have stopped grey-listing too, as spoofed email is coming through thick and fast.

Is anyone else seeing this please?

I've just had a client call to say that he can't access his iServe mailbox, says something about server not responding.

Everything seems to be ok for me, so I told him to wait a couple of hours and then try again in case it's some temporary thing.

Anyone else having issues?

I have noticed that their webmail is blacklisted, and I can't even BCC myself, as it bounces back saying the server has been blacklisted. I reported it but yet to hear anything, their email support seems MIA these days. I have also had a lot of spam, probably about 20 a day, but someof it is getting caught by the canit system. But it is also blocking a lot of legitimate emails, which I have to go in and whitelist. I did have a client last week who also said they were getting a lot more spam coming through.

Does anyone know if they are charging for the canit spam protection? If you go onto the screen to add it, it says it will cost for each mailbox you add it to, on a monthly fee, but is this actually being charged for? It is normal these days for email spam protection to be included with the hosting at no additional cost.

Yup I've been getting 5 to 6 spam emails a day requesting bill payments and the like all with infected .zip attachments

sounds like its not just Orcon happening with xtra too

Been getting lots over the last few weeks. I have my spam filter set to 5.0 and these are coming through as 2.6.

In the last few days, Orcons antispam filter appears to be getting them.

I'm in the same boat.. lots of spam getting caught by the spam filter but there's at least 3-5 that slip through into my inbox each day.. was surprising to see really, i've never had any spam delivered to my mailbox for a good 10+ years using it..
