Has anyone got 401 Unauthorized when trying to login to your router at 192.168.20.1 ? I'm with ufb and have never had an issue before, just want to log in because my ipad can't stay connected to much for longer then a few minutes without having to reconnect so want to reset router which I normally do by logging in. I realise I can turn it on/off at the wall but... why on earth is it not letting me log into it?

And after 45 minutes I can now log back into my router... I wonder if it was updating or something, as I've never not been able to log in before.

then it wasn't being updated at the time more likely to be a short term DNS problem I get that every now and then where the router simply forgets where to go for DNS queries

It was with my ipad that I was having the issues in games, and I finally clicked that my dns on the ipad was using googles (4.4.4.4 / 8.8.8.8) and as soon as I switched that back to orcon's my game connection issue vanished. The logging into the modem thing though was done on my pc and while I can log into it now, still have no clue what I couldn't earlier.

Most likely your router limits to one active session so if you were accessing it then closed browser without logging out of router you may not be able to login from another browser / session until the previous one expires.

I have a Netgear that does this.

Mine is R5B032.EN

Interesting that we see three different versions.

Then I wish somebody would tell my NF4V that as that's the error msg that comes up when it happens
