I am currently on a Snap Gigatown Fibre with Phone contract and today rang home to speak to my father

He didn't answer and rather than the phone just ringing and ringing, I hit voicemail and left a message - now this isn't odd behaviour in today's VOIP phones, however when I put fibre in I specifically set the Fritzbox to not have voicemail.

Are there any settings I need to check to turn off voicemail, or does this require a call to 2Degrees because something has changed on their side in the last year?

Cheers

Hi nzkiwiman,

The voicemail on our Home Phone Plus line's is handled by our systems, not by the Fritzbox.

If you'd like this to be removed, please get the account holder to give us a yell on 0800 022 022 opt 9, and we can remove.

Thanks,

Ralph ^JOB

^ Thanks, will ring when I am home and have all the details in front of me (I am the account holder)

This must be a change since 2Degrees took over, as the Fritzbox used to control voicemail and the phone used to ring and ring and ring (ie no voicemail) when I first switched over to fibre

I've been on Snap/2degrees UFB for 18 months and the voicemail has always been done on their end for me, not on the Fritz.
