Hi Team,

Just signed up toi get Orcon Gigabit (moving off Spark) and was wondering if its possible to use my existing Nighthawk with Orcon. They tell me theyd preferr i used their router, but if i can get mine going they hey power to me. Was wondering if anyone had any tip/suggestions on getting it going. Connection date is the 22nd so ive got a few days of research ahead.

Cheers

Pretty sure Orcon use DHCP, tagged on VLAN 10. Whichever firmware you use on the R7000 will need to support CTF or hardware acceleration in order to get the full speed.

I believe CTF is enabled as long as i dont use QoS, Traffic Meter or loggin. I dont use theese anyway so should be all good.

Can confirm i have my nighthawk running on Orcon, literally had to change one setting to convert from spark. Seem to be capping out at 460Mbps whihc would suggest CTF issues, but will test further at the weekend and compare with the Orcon Provided Fritzbox.

Since Orcon UFB matches Vodafone FibreX in terms of configuration @mdf has what you're needing to do in order to get full speed on this excellent guide: http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=40&topicid=205229
