Just received an email from Orcon saying that the Genius app was being discontinued. Did this mean that I can no longer divert house phone calls to my cell?

Hi there, the app is being entirely turned off, so all associated functionality will stop working.

 

We’re sorry to see it go, there were a few factors that drove the decision:

 

  • It was only being used by 1% of our customers
  • We are moving people to a new back-end billing platform and Genius Go doesn’t work on it
  • To be honest, the app had run its course, so we reckon it's time to say goodbye.

We've got a few things in the pipeline, including a new self-service app, details soon...

That's good. I always had problems with the apps and there where never any updates with for the apps so I gave up, plus it was wreaking havoc with my net at one stage and the landline.
