Orcon broadband how likely is it that as an existing customer we can get the 12 month plan deals?

Unlimited Fibre 300

Precisely that, is it worth ringing to find out, as we are paying $97 a month and on the 12 month plan its only $75

There doesn't appear to be a way to upgrade your plan online

Thanks

How come you get $75 when their site says it is $97 on a 12 mth plan?

Interesting. I’ve tried this before with orcon and was told their specials are for new customers only.

Yea, odd, as that $75 deal is clearly meant for new subscribers.

Greetings again all,

just an update If anyone was curious as my latest bill arrived and it is in fact $20 cheaper than the previous month.

So i would recommend trying it if you want to save money

We rang up and said we would like to go on the plan, it is a 12 month commitment.

And we also mentioned that we are looking at other providers who are cheaper than the monthly rate we were paying.

To be honest and this is just my opinion, I think when the term expires they should, be ringing and trying to get you to fix to another 12 month plan, rather than just jacking the price up.

If it’s like 2degrees you can ring in last month of plan, so it continues without month of higher prices.

Power company each year sends me an email and offers deal, I just press accept in email and all set for another year. They would save lot of phone calls if did this.

Guess they relying on people not knowing to ring up, or leaving it late so get extra cash for that month. Need to be proactive and mark on calendar to ring each year. Worth phone call to save over $200 though if happy with service.
