Hello,

Today I am unable to access the internet through apps or through a browser. No network settings were changed prior to this happening.

ASUS router - it says connected to the internet (fibre)
Wired / wireless connection - neither providing access
PiHole - I have tried disabling blocking, I have tried reverting the router DNS back to the IP one, so it doesn’t send requests through PiHole - no change.
Router / Computer / Phone / PiHole restarted

Where are you based? Our 2degrees connection went down at exactly midnight overnight. No amount of restarts with the router or ONT has any effect. All the lights are correct on the ONT too.

I’m in Auckland. Yes I think it was midnight for us too.
I have swapped out the ASUS router for the Fritzbox. It too says it is connected, but still nothing will load.

Me too - I’m in Auckland. Started approx midnight as well but only noticed about 7am when work from home family were complaining.

Spent about an hour troubleshooting my unifi setup, moving back to my fritzbox, nothing worked.
My fritzbox logs show PPPoE timeout. The unifi console showed nothing helpful but that was configured to use DHCP for WAN.
Ont lights fine too.

Nothing on the outage webpage for chorus or 2degrees so assumed it was my setup somehow.

Nothing showing on that page - same on https://www.2degrees.nz/network-status
Quite a few posts on twitter too, and downdetector.

Good morning, curious to know if this is now resolved for you?  A hotfix has been applied after a change was made last night that likely caused this.

Ours in Whakatane was out for 2 hours from midnight as well.

Ours worked after the hotfix was applied.

This has been poor on 2D's part. Myself, and many others spend time troubleshooting out routers and connections, the whole time the 2D site saying everything is fine and dandy. Why is it so hard to get some basic communication along the lines of "some customers are affected, we are working on resolving it". It would have saved an hour or more of my time, instead I mucked around with stuff at my end that was not at fault.
