Hey Guys I just wanted too open a thread in appreciation too the work that our provider Orcon does for us all.

I know that we sometimes and im sure its the same with all providers that we have issues with the speeds etc and it gets frustrating, but I myself have come too the conclusion that when Orcon is on fire they are on fire and when there not there not and thats just the way the cookie crumbles.Orcon always comes thru with the best dedicated service too us all even if it is a matter of waiting for it too be done.

So anyway thats all i wanted too share with yous all.

Keep up the awesome work Orcon :)

Also a special mention to SoundDude, DuncanBlair and recently tsalmen for coming to these forums to help us out, when they aren't required to.

Awesome work Orcon, keep it up. :)

Yes it is great that those three actively contribute to these forums off their own back, and overall I do like Orcon as well and their service. I think it's just a shame that they can't permanently fix the YouTube and international issues. It seems to be a bit of a cycle where the problems pop up, they get fixed, then return, get fixed, and so on.

But apart from this I'm happy with them and have recommended them to other people.

Yeah, have had good service from Orcon, and a pretty reliable LLU connect after a few cable dramas sorted (bad pair from exchange), soundude et al have been friendly and helpful, will keep recommending them. Nothing is ever perfect in ISPland when relying on antiquated copper in the ground, but, so far, so good, AND, no contract, if it is good, stay with it, if not, make your choice. I'm not aware of another ISP (or telco?) that has sufficient belief in their service and product to do that - would be fab if a cellular provider could make that offer with account plans...

I personally think Orcon are a top ISP - my only issue with them is the cap they have in the evenings. If you wish to download (Rapidshare anyone??) it has to be like at 12-1am. Other than that I think their service alone is awesome and have recommended them to two others.

I think they just need to correct a few small things to make them outstanding. Their branding is also appealing.

Oh and one more thing...they have great promotional stuff from time to time. I think XTRA needs to rebrand and have a facelift as well as their pricings....their 3G Mobile is probably the only thing Telecom has gotten right so far. BUT anyway...Orcon is leading the charge I think with innovative service and support
