I was in Melbourne  for the past few days staying at Ferntreegully and had my work fone and Vodafone SIM with me.  When I made a call home it was talking on a crappy VOIP line with high latency.  After a couple of these calls I put in my 2D SIM and it immediately booted up to Telsta and the calls were perfect..  Well done..

Thanks for the feedback. You get either Telstra or Optus when you are roaming in Australia. You just turn on your 2degrees and your phone will automatically select the best of those two networks for you depending on your location.
