To show our support for the people of Canterbury the 2degrees Call Centre and 2degrees as a whole will be observing the 2 minute silence at 12:51pm.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

We also respectfully ask people to put their phones onto 'silent mode' during the 2 minutes.

we tried to observe this in the telecom store and would you believe someone talked through the entire thing.. drove one of our staff to tears

We observed it in the IT dept at work...rest of building seemed to be reasonably quiet, even traffic noise seemed to drop right off.

We all observed the 2 minute silence in the kitchen while watching the images on TV very moving

Very moving today how everyone paid their respects. Heard from one of our sites that every person in the complex (in the thousands) stopped still and stayed silent except for one "emo girl"...
