I've just bought a new 2degrees phone and while I can send txts to people on the telecom network I can't receive txts from them.
I have rung 2degrees and given them times and dates of the txts. They said they have no idea what the problem could be.
I can receive txts from vodafone and other 2degrees uses. Any suggestions?

Have you asked Telecom what is happening to the texts? That should be your first point of enquiry.

True. The Telecom customers trying to reach the OP should ask Telecom what is happening to their texts.

Based on that, it sounds like you are either not quite ported across (if you are porting) or something went wrong with the provisioning process.

The person at Telecom is incorrect, Clearly the SMS and calls are not getting routed to 2Degrees

The person on the phone will be looking in a GUI but the backend is not correct

Have you ported your number or do you have a 022 number?

The port has succeeded on our end, and I can see messages arriving at our gateway from Vodafone (as well as 2degrees) but none from Telecom. As John R said, it would appear that something in the back end at Telecom has gone wrong with the porting process.

Thank you for looking into it for me, what would you suggest is my next plan of action? Would ringing telecom again do any good?
