Hi all, i want to know if my Vodafone Sure Signal will work if I'm on a 2D hand set?

In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing.

Assuming you have a 2D SIM on a phone bought from 2Ds. No, it won't. It will only work on a vodafone SIM

i was thinking 2D sim in a vodafone phone (one that would work with the sure signal on the vodafone network)?

The handset doesn't matter. It's the SIM that matters.

By the way roaming SIM (except 2degrees) will work on a Sure Signal. I have even used an Amazon Kindle connected to a Sure Signal.

what i asked on VNZF was what hand sets will work with Sure Signal. i have 2 3G older sets both Vodafone and they will not work but my Sony C702 will work.......

Every 3G handset in the world (with the exception of US AWS handsets) will work as they all support 2100 MHz. If you have Vodafone handsets that don't work it would indicate a fault with either the handset or SIM.

Who ever advised older 3G handsets would not work on Sure Signal are wrong and this needs to be followed up!

it was the staff at Vodafone westfield riccarton. they also said that sure signal was mainly for smart phones.
I have found them next to useless, i have a mate that got Samsung Tab but got told that they had run out and it could take up to 14 days to get them in, so went with 2 Iphone 4's, they took almost a week to get as i under stand it.

Sure Signal is for any 3G WCDMA 2100mhz handset that works on the Vodafone NZ network with a Vodafone SIM for Voice or Data

AWS is split band 1700/2100. Some new handsets will work on pure 2100 networks but some older ones won't.
