Can you please call our phone team on  Monday and their team can determine it its a fault with the RF output or just a few settings that need tweaking.

- if i press the media button im taken to the USB page of the media center, if i press it again nothing happens, why not make it so it takes you to the UPnP page or one of the other Media type functions. I used UPnP a lot through the TV at the moment. The t2200 is very cumbersome when it comes to getting to this.

The Media Button only shows what's on a attached  USB device, to get UPnP go to Menu > Media Manager > Media Sharing. You can also cast items from a Laptop or Smart Phone / Tablet or get them from the Media Sharing Menu itself.

With LPM set to on it doesn't work, with LPM set to off it is working now, and im sure i tried that, but it looks like it keeps the HDMI port connected so even though the unit is in standby the TV will never go to sleep as its always receiving a signal. im guessing its suppose to be like this?

I know you can go into the menu to get to the UPnP that way but its cumbersome, surely you could make it easier by pressing the USB button twice, once to enter the USB menu and a second time to move onto media sharing, and maybe a third time for file transfer or something like that. makes it more intuitive for those not so technical people.

should be about being user friendly and not having to navigate through meuns to use main features. i have to press 4-5 buttons to just get to the UPnP page.

Still looks like it will be a worthy replacement for Sky.

A LPM will still allow the RF signal to pass through, so I find it strange that it's not doing that, Do you have HDMI CEC turned on from the TV?
I'll pass feedback through to the team as they will be interested regards to the USB button on the remote

Good news and glad I could help . Please stay in the public forum as I can see you have some great ideas .. i have no plans to join the closed group and like to see others raw assessment of the box , hopefully it helps others considering a box to get a true picture of its worth..warts and all. A harmony remote might be able to program a one press sequence to solve the media access.

Nope TV is too old for CEC

Another suggestion for the UPnP side, maybe some way of displaying more media on the screen or some way to scroll through them quicker if you have a large amount of files in there.

:)

harmony remote will be something to consider in the future, the TV is 6 or so years old and the home theater is probably 9+ so at the moment not really high on the list.

Im just all for things being easy to use, i have one of the original western digital live media players that i used for 2 years when i was at sea for work (not constantly at sea but would have spent a good 300 days away from home in that time).

User friendlyness sells products as much as how they perform.

With auto time shifting, does the display always need to say SHIF? its set on auto so you know its always shifting, and it tells you when you are changing channels, IMO i would rather see the channel.

i agree with jase2985, quick access to DLNA functions would be a big plus.
As it is so cumbersome at present i use a blueray player instead for this access.

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

For some reason TV1 is double the volume of every other channel. not sure how/why this is but would really love to know how to fix this.

I would try a rescan. If no joy , reset to default & try again

I will take this onboard and show the team this suggestion, The only thing I can tell you is that there are going to be some major changes to the media manager side but I am unsure when this will be released into the software, we also have a new remote inspired by customer feedback when the product initially launched earlier this year.

I'll pass through to the team, that is a great point.

Rescan worked, until i changed the channel, then it went back up again, but it seems as though the volume isnt changing at all its fixed at one level no matter where the volume is set at. It looks like TV1 is the only channel that it picks up the audio as being AC3 when on auto, and when manually set to AC3 tv1 is the only one with sound. have had to set it to manual and PCM. very strange there.

Its also very touchy when using the numbers on the remote to change the channel when the info bar is displayed at the bottom, a single press can result in 2 numbers being displayed and going to a different chanel, ie if i change to channel 2, and the info bar at the bottom is displayed then press the number 3 it will change to channel 33. if the info bar is not there is will go to channel 3.

I've always found TV1 to be the loudest channel. Choice is so quiet you can hardly hear it. I do find that the T2200 volume doesn't go up high enough, I'm constantly having to switch to the TV remote to get it high enough, particularly on channels like Choice.

Unfortunately had a recurrence of the jerky screen etc last night. My wife and I were watching a scheduled recording of Call the Midwife, just about 10 mins delayed from real time, and the T2200 started recording Love Child which follows it, when we got to the part of the recording where they overlapped, it all went to rubbish. Completely unwatchable for the last 5 mins or so of Midwife and Love Child didn't look any better.
