We have young kids and I intended on keeping hands, fingers, mouths, toes, feet, off the electronics so adapted this piece of furniture to meet my requirements.  It's slightly higher than the usual entertainment units you get at stores (mainly because its not an entertainment unit).  I rest easy knowing they can't get to things and hurt themselves (or the electronics)

37" Panasonic LCD TV
The awesomeness that is my TiVo
In the left section, 360 on top. Wii below.
On the right, sub. with THX Logitech speakers either side.
Netbook for good measure. Wireless modem is tucked in behind the tv along with the phone.

not sure why the photo is missing part of the right side.

I dont have an actual image of my Home Entertainment Setup, but to give you an example...

The setup in the image is streets ahead of what I have at home.

If fact calling it a home entertainment unit would be giving home entertainment a bad name.

You would be better off drawing on the wall with crayons or watching paint dry.

Any Addition to this embarassing state of affairs would be amazing.

Current set up:

 - Standard issue 42inch Panasonic Plasma

 - Rotel 2 channel amplier
 - Rotel DAB Tuner
 - Marantz DVD player

Need a HD Freeview PVR to bring it to life, and then I can invest in a Home Theatre Amp! :-) :-)

My Home entertainment system is lacking; I have a 46 HD LCD TV and DVD and a HD Freeview box.  As you can see I need this prize in order to record my favourite shows.

Please send my prize as soon as possible, I will wait for it by the letter box, ha-ha.

We are a keen Freeview HD household with a Sony 40" LCD and Freeview HD PVR.  With another Freeview HD box we could add Freeview to the smaller LCD in he study.

We live in the Auckland CBD and get very strong UHF signals using an external antenna (vertical polarization) pointed at the SkyTower.

We have a LCD TV hooked up to a Ubuntu PC running XBMC and a MythTV backend with a Nova-T 500 for LiveTV and to record Freeview programmes - mostly for the kids. While it's running great and we have everything available - perfect for the geek in me - it's a bit clumsy at times, quite power hungry and too noisy (fans/etc.). Something simple, one-button friendly and easier to manage/use would be perfect!

I would upload a photo, but it would be very boring ... a picture of a Samsung LCD TV and a standard PC case.

Samsung 40 inch
Pioneer Amp with Wharfedale speakers.
Xbox 360 and Wii
DSE DVB-T
WDTV
Yamaha DVD Player
Cable Modem (CHCH)

A dual tuner PVR would be awesome for when 2 things are on at the same time.

We have what I reckon is a crazy amount of gear that makes up our entertainment set up:

Nintendo 64 - We got this a few years ago to play just one game, the one and only and most fantastical, Mario Karts!!
Nintendo 64
Panasonic NV-VP60 - On the odd occasion, we get and dust off old VHS tapes and use it for this. Other than that, use the DVD function to try and satisfy our 20-month's old seemingly-never-ending-obsession with the Wiggles

Sony KDL-40w4000 - The main player is our lovely 42" LCD screen

PS2 slimline - This is still good for the occasional game. Used otherwise for playing Buzz or Singstar. Yee-hah.

Original Xbox - Somewhat dated but still works as my main media centre repository.

Nintendo Wii - The newest addition of our clusttered entertainment unit!

Some of you guys have some very cool toys...

Just have a run of the mill Panasonic 42" plasma with a cheap and cheerful panasonic DVD home theater system and a MySky box giving us TV goodness.

Don't have a TV aerial, any chance I could have a free one with the new recorder or is that just being greedy?

Ok... well right now i have a 32" CRT and a 2nd 32" TV that i plan to use with my Old XBox that I brought from EB Games (Good deal only 65$ ;-)...

I Did have a PS3 and another 32" TV + Amp but we had a house fire and that got destroyed.

Currently trying to get my life back on track and get another PS3 or X360...

If i win this FreeView HD box i'll post an unboxing review. and try to get a decent 32" HDTV (cheap)

Cheers
Phillip Hardy.
