Hmmm, think mine had 116 when I got it......now up to 126 with NO feature updates, just bug fixes!

And what happened to odd number updates? Were they so bad they were never released?

NOT a good product at release!

A lot of development platforms use odd number releases for (sometimes internal only) development builds. I suspect this is the case with Dash TV.

Smithy47:

Firmware 1.26 update out.

Site says

Version 1.26

Problems Solved

1. Randomly recordings fail to record or wont play.

2. Movies grouped instead of shown singly in Manage Recordings.

3. Minor Bug fixes.

Some suggestions for the next update...

1 - after watching a recorded show, when you press the back button you get given options stop watching and cancel. Please add delete with a confirmation option. Saves a number of steps of going back to recording list, down to watched recordings, then delete.

2 - In recordings, when you select a recorded show, it would be nice for it to show on demand recordings at the bottom as well as the list of recordings. This way if you watch a show you like, you can see previous episodes quickly.

Thank you

John

Just wondering, for those who have upgraded to 1.26 have they found the issues they were previously having with shows not recording, guide not appearing and random 'recording ending' message appearing have been solved?

I have been told by Dish tv, they found no issues with the unit but they replaced it just in case.  It has been sent back to the local store, I'm now waiting for the store to ring me back as they had no idea what has been done to the unit.

Those problems seemed to have been fixed with 1.26.  Problem I am having now is I have to log into Freeview every time.  The software has come along way, but there is still a few minor bugs.

OK found a problem when fast forwarding through ads when chasing after about an hour.  Playback reverts to start when exiting FF (but on screen progress bar still shows as playing from the chasing time).  Exiting playback and resuming seems to work until next time, as does FF again and exiting FF.

Only hit problem once so far, will see if I can replicate.

I see there is now a manual for the A2 on the Dish TV web site for those that want one.

Downloaded last night and installed the TVNZ on demand and Stuff Pix App.  Seems to be working ok so far.

Found that had to search in Google play with the full name as apps did not jump out.

I'm finding I need to log into the Freeview app most times I use it, is this normal because it's a pain?

That was the problem I reported before in this thread. After installing the latest update I did a factory reset and the problem seemed to go away.

Just seen Ver 1.29 Firmware out.

Version 1.29

Features Added Subtitles (CC) support for On Demand content.

Problems Solved

1. Random glitchy playback on DRM content.

2. Some recordings not fully recorded, showing power loss.

3. Audio dropping on some devices.

4. Minor Bug fixes.

Have seen most of those problem.  Hopfully AC3 Sound will now work.

Bluetooth. I use from three metres away but would expect to work up to ten metres.
