Has anybody got the Nova-S Plus going with the TV Pack, I kinda got stuck with just 9 SKY channels, something similar to what Rusty said (see quote below)

"When you are doing the initial channel scan, scan both 12483 and 12456 one directly after the other. If you only scan one, then look at some TV, then try to scan the other it doesn't seem to release the tuner properly so it will miss the second transponder scan unless you do a reboot in between and then scan the second transponder before going to Live TV.
"

Im guessing the Nova-S isnt chaning transponders correctly when doing the scan? Can anyone confirm Nova-S working with TV Pack (note same config works 100% pre-TV Pack)

I also have the nova-s working. I found a reboot was the key.

I can confirm that replacing the dll works a treat for HDTV. You will need to take ownership and give permissions to rename or replace the file, but works fine.

Can someone clarify about dvbbridge or any other method of conbining channels, setting recording card preferences and combining epg to other cards. thanks.

I also have a Nova S plus working.
I am just busy trying to get all the Sky channels EPG via the nova s as well and combining/getting them in the correct channel number.
I am thinking that my problem with the 999 channels is because when I set up the PVR150 with the Sky STB I set it that it can take a 3 digit channel number, which is 999 possibilities.

I have done a manual scan of transponders 12421, 12456, 12483, 12519, 12546, 12581, 12608, 12644, 12671, 12707 & 12734.
All have a symbol rate of 22500.
That gives me all the Freeview channels as well as all the Sky channels EPG data.
Just having problems getting the combinations and all the Sky EPG data working on the correct channel.

Wow I think you just stumbled on something that I should have twigged to.
PLEASE tell the sky EPG is NOT encypted. I do not have sky, but if I scan the above frequencies can I use the Sky EPG for other channels (if I use the like of dvbbridge or something)

Now that is cool, I had it in the back of my mind to see if that could be done (wasn't sure if the sky egp would be encrypted), nice to hear it can..... Thanks.

Yeah got the 999 channels thing too, even though the last time I loaded I made sure to select two numbers only for the set top box. Good alternative to setting up dvbsbridge.

I’ve seen this question asked before and wondered if anyone had replied to it.( smbunn Reply # 156247) I did a Clean install Vista Home x64 and new TV pack with Nova T500 twin DVB T tuner. While scanning only get 2 Radio channels. Tried different T500 drivers no go. Also if I can get this to work anybody got a x64 DLL file or link. I’m in Auckland and was able to tune everything in on same system using Powercinema.

'The machine I'm setting up at the moment just automatically detected both tuners.
I downloaded the latest drivers for both the Nova S and PVR150 from Hauppauge's website.

When I run through the TV Setup it asks what type of TV I receive, I say Satellite and it then asks if I have a STB or not.
If I say no it configures the DVB-S card then asks if I want to configure the 2nd tuner.
If I say yes to the STB the first time around it then configures the PVR150 and the Sky STB then asks about the second tuner as well.
Still can't figure out how to stop it putting in 999 channels in the Guide which I then have to uncheck manually!
Where's the "Unselect All" option!!??

Hmm, as my TV Pack with Sky via the Jaycar smartcard reader setup stabilises, I'm dicovering new issues.

I've got Sky and Freeview working together, and have merged the 4 overlapping channels (TV1, 2, 3, and C4) via the method explained earlier in this thread with Freeview being the priority tuner. But depending on which tuner I'm using to watch one of these overlapping channels, it seems to pull down the guide data from the feed being watched at the time. If Sky's listings are slightly different to Freeview's, then my scheduled recordings go out the window.

For example - my other half set up 'Come Rain Or Shine: From Grey's Anatomy To Private Practice' to record tonight. This is what Freeview sends as the guide listing for this program. I happened to be recording something on TV1 earlier (source: Freeview), and switched to TV2 which used the Sky feed because the Freeview tuner was being used for my TV1 recording. Because I was watching TV2 via the Sky feed, the EPG updated the TV2 listings with Sky's, and the program that my gf set to record changed names to just 'Come Rain Or Shine'. Therefore I lost this scheduled recording...

Has anyone else encountered this issue? Perhaps it is the cause of the 1 minute and lost recordings? Is there any way to use two tuners for one channel, but only use on as the source for the EPG?

ANy news on the scheduled recordings disappearing? Ive just installed a 2nd copy of vista with TV Pack and cant seem to get it working 100%.

Recordings seem to disappear 1-2 minutes past the hour and if a recording goes past the hour it stops, eg 60 minutes stopped at 8:01.

Has anyone found a fix for this?

I just managed to successfully record my first program off Freeview! I've got Sky and Freeview together, and had issues with the merged channels having their EPGs updating with the feed I was watching at the time (see earlier post).

I've had trouble with programs recording for like 21 or 31 mins only, not really the 1 minute issue. I'm hoping my EPG source fix has put an end to all that...

I have now successfully scheduled and recorded two Freeview shows now!! Things are finally on the up after a long slog of sweat and tears, and it really feels good now. I just hope I'm not jinxing it by saying this...

Yep, I have DVBViewer Pro v3.9.4.0 and the DVBSBridge for DVBViewer Pro beta working well together. All using the Jaycar reader for my Sky smartcard plus another couple of pieces of software to plug the gaps.

Again, I hope I'm not speaking too soon, but it is well worth the pain in the end when it all settles down and becomes stable. All I need now is to be able to decode two Sky channels at once, and for the channel changing for the Sky feed to go a little faster (currently takes up to 5 secs to change channels). Freeview channels change almost instantly.

Hey Satch, I can sorta understand your original problem if your system was getting 1 epg from freeview and 1 from sky... Any ideas why my system has the same issue when all i have is freeview? I don't really understand how it all works but wondered if it has anything to do with the fact that we pick up some of the freeview channels on one transponder freq (12483) and some on the other (12456) maybe the EPG changes when the tuner swaps to the other transponder freq to begin recording ???
