In my experience, the following are still problematic:
– non-response of transport controls on playback while another recording is taking place (as described above)
– rewind is not as stable or reliable as fast forward (either by the time value display or the video preview)
– remote key presses register multiple times – as described multiple times – earlier in the thread there was talk of a replacement remote, Josh?
– sound issues. Initial release with the early firmware had very bad synch problems. It has improved somewhat over time but there are still offsets and drift occurring from time to time. I had also noticed dropouts on playback of some material (Prime I think) in between editorial and ad slots. i.e. the first few seconds of an ad block would drop out, as if re-negotiating sample rate.
Still, the T2200 is undoubtedly handy for catching up on TV otherwise missed - but it would be good to see some of these longstanding issues resolved.
Especially for those who are currently building their all their viewing around the platform; but also as a convincing argument for those yet to buy in to this new generation of DishTV products.
