When the library has a long list of recorded programmes, it is always a pain to have to scroll through several episodes of the same programme to get to the other programme you want.

Could the display be changed so that when there were say 3 or more episodes of a programme it would read:

Programme Name (number of episodes)

eg:

One News
Shortland Street
The Simpsons (15)
Young Ones

And then you could press a key on the remote (maybe the OK key) and it would expand the listing to included those episodes listed in date order, or maybe go to another page just displaying that programmes episodes.Top episode listed is the oldest.

I've never had a channel go for more than 20 seconds without stuttering on losing signal on my T1020, both at old place in Newtown (Wellington) and new place in Epuni (Lower Hutt), another Freeview HD device works fine on the same connection. T1020 on ch2 has signal strength 91% but quality 53% for about 10 second then no signal, we're in a rental so I might get the landlord to check it out.
Some kind of build in diagnostic thing would be great, like if it could know what good\common stats for your area were and could make recommendations like "your signal is low, check your aerial is pointed towards (insert landmark here) and is vertically\whatever aligned like this (with picture). Not sure if anything like that is even possible. The screen showing the tuning results would only show when the picture was showing, so not when signal was lost, so it was hard to read, hopefully that's actually shown with the menu on new systems, bad signal shouldn't stop you reading the STB screens.

This is something that can be done on a website, as building the application for web is a lot easier as to where we implement something in the products will require a lot of time as well as how the user will navigate around the interface and the updates for new regions/issues will be a regular occurrence. We currently have something in terms of help and guides in the pipeline and will be revealed more closer to the launch of these new FreeviewPlus products.

More than two tuners in the box would be great. Have a T1050 and a T1020 and there are times when 3 channels are being recorded, if i could just get down to one box would be great. Due to me starting work early ALL our tv is recorded and watched at an earlier time the next night.

Going a bit off topic my, t1020 has failed this morning with a power issue. The green LED is now just randomly fast flickering. So what is the next recommended dishTV product to get that is actually sold in shops?

Cloudy: More than two tuners in the box would be great. Have a T1050 and a T1020 and there are times when 3 channels are being recorded, if i could just get down to one box would be great. Due to me starting work early ALL our tv is recorded and watched at an earlier time the next night.

As a house that timeshifts every programme we want to watch, we often have more than one programme recording whilst watching a recorded one. This is the sole purpose for us owning a T1050. We never watch live TV.

Often we have stuttering or/and pixelation. This occurs when we are chasing a programme and another recording on the same channel starts.

It also seems to occur when we have a recording going on one tuner and another on the other tuner is about to finish, but is followed by a programme on the same channel. Because we have a 2 minute pre-start on recordings this can mean we have 3 programmes (or 4) recording while we are watching another one.

I assume that the problem is linked to either the processor speed being too slow for this much work, or the I/O bus or harddrive being unable to cope with that amount of work. It would be nice to have a machine fast enough to cope with what it allows you to do.

Now this evening the red LED indicator is flashing /blinking. Turns out to be a bad capacitor on the power supply.

We are the official New Zealand importer and distributor for MagicTV, Trimax, Haute, Topfield and Dish TV products. We do accept support requests however we communicate with Pixel Magic for confirmation. I apologise in the delay of getting back to you !

Would it be possible to build a playlist of programmes for the evenings viewing.

I see this as being done by using the Yellow button to select programmes (as you would for a delete of several programmes) and then pressing the play key. Programmes should be played in date order so that when you select a series this way it plays them from oldest to latest.

Can you confirm that the problems with the Magic TV 3600 I mentioned in the previous update have been reported to Pixel Magic and they are being actively worked on? Any estimates of when fixes will be available?
