tapere: OK, I've got to the bottom of this. You need to have AC3 or Auto selected in "Settings"(from the menu). Then, you have to press the Audio button on the remote to select AC3 (this button seems to cycle through the audio options from the settings menu, allowing you to, for instance, select another language). It seems a bit clunky but it works.
The main issue is that neither of the manuals (pdf or online from the menu) make this in any way clear.
A feature request: If you have selected Auto in the Audio settings menu, then automatically output AC3 if it is available. Seems a bit counter intuitive to then have to use the remote.
Be good to hear Dish TVs point of view, there may be good reason for the current behaviour. In any case, please adjust the manual to make it clear.

Jimmy22: A further request for a menu option... . When looking at your library it would be very handy if you re-sort by tv program to gather together alike programs for it to remember your preference when exiting the library . Once you start to fill the terabyte of space up its far more common to look for historical recordings than latest ones and way easier to locate via alpha than chronologically. Being able to go down through the library index a page at a time would be most handy too. Indexing to line 29 by example is a bit of a shot in the dark .to find 4 episodes of heroes and seek the oldest one :)

Our apologies for not mentioning this in the manuals, we are currently overhauling the manuals on both sides with more content and this recent discovery I'll get it rolled out ASAP, expect a few updates on the T2200 in the next few weeks.
joshhill96:BadEgg: Have just bought a aerialBox T2200 for my mother, setup was pretty painless, however found one issue, when trying to connect to the wireless router I was unable to enter my routers password as I could not find the + (plus) symbol, went through all the key options upper, lower & symbols but could not be found, I might have missed it but can some check for me?
When the keypad pops up on the screen, Go down to #123 (Press OK) then beside the abc option there is a button to select called symb press ok and it will load up the symbols such as %&+- etc..
Hope it helps! Enjoy!
Hi Josh, I’ve had a frustrating morning with the T2200. So I finally got back to trying to connect the T2200 to a wireless router, however as I asked there does not appear to be a symbol entry for the plus ‘+’ character.
I checked your website and saw there is a firmware update (currently on v1.17, update is v1.18), so downloaded the update. I had trouble getting the T2200 to recognise a number of my USB memory sticks, I finally found one that worked and proceeded with the upgrade. After the upgrade all the scheduled recordings had been wiped, so was a little unpopular! Would be good if the update process warns you about this. Fortunately the upgrade did not wipe any of the already recorded shows, however I had a reoccurrence of the problem where the HD would not initialise (hence could no see any recorded shows), but with a full power off restart the HD powered up.
Anyway after going through the upgrade I still can’t see the plus ‘+’ symbol available when entering in a Wifi password. Here's a picture of the screen with the symbols enabled.
I’m sure some might say what don’t you just change your password and remove the ‘+’ symbol, I could do that but it also means change all other Wifi devices with the new password.
Hopefully you can pass this information on to the software engineers to see if they can include the '+' symbol.

Jimmy22: Will you post a changelog somewhere so we can see what has changed like you did with magictv in the past, that way we can see when issues are said to be resolved and can report them again if not.
