No problem, I'm not sure when the next release is, sometime this week have to get confirmation.

I just purchased the T2200 three days ago. The last two mornings i have found the T2200 locked up - no video output and cannot power off. Only option is to pull out the power cord at the back.

I am running the latest firmware.

Do i have a defective unit or is this a problem other people also have?

This seems to be happening to a few units, instances where live record and playback locks up. Please can you PM us some details like location and transmitter and I willfile through a log for the team.

it seems to happen if you try to send input to the unit while it is in the process of recording, but especially when the unit is in the process of beginning or ending a recording, possibly when multiple programs overlapp on start and end times. the lock goes away after said recordings are finished in some cases, in other cases i throw things around and pull the power plug which works ok to regain control but obviously compromises the recording. I think its important to throw things during this process, you never know when Sonny Bill will get injured and you need to keep those offload skills at their peak awaiting the call from Hansen.

Is anyone else getting pixelation on playback? Doesn't happen all the time but can be pretty bad. I cannot ever recall seeing pixelation on live TV, just on playback. I'll update this with my firmware version etc (I think I'm on the latest) when I get home.

Yep. I get pixelation on playback sometimes. It gets better as the recorded program goes on.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

Yep. I get pixelation on playback sometimes. It gets better as the recorded program goes on.

Hmm, never noticed it getting better as the recorded program goes on. Had one episode of Dr Who which got worse and worse, was almost unwatchable at the end.

try pause for 5 secs to get pic and sound to sync

also look at signal strength , could be a signal issue ?

Failing that try replacing the aerial cable. My TiVo had a pixelation issue which got pretty bad. I swapped out the RF cable and problem was instantly fixed which could have been a dodgy connection on one end or a minor break somewhere in the cable itself or just age. I've since read digital broadcast signals are sensitive to dodgy cabling whereas analogue signals would just blast through. By that rationale the HDMI cable could be worth swapping just to troubleshoot.

Either I have a defective box or this model's OS and / or firmware is well below standard.

Intermittent faults that are frustrating me:

1) Failure to wake from standby and record programs. Recent examples Arrow TV2 Thursday 5 November. Doctor Who Prime Sunday 8 November Both are series linked from the guide.

2) Loss of sound during playback of recorded programs. Hit stop and the box locks up, Only solution for this is to cycle power at the wall.

3) When woken from standby with a USB stick attached, the USB media sometimes mounts faster than the library, resulting in a "Media not ready" message when LIB key is pressed. Solution here is cycle standby until library mounts faster than the USB stick

Where is the latest firmware. Changelog indicates 11c, and website only has 1.18.
Unit will not update firmware from network.
Keeps looping at startup until network disconnected.

Unit also intermittently fails to load media library. Always fails when usb is connected.

TV3 Now app also fails with 'server did not provide any video renditions that this player could play'.

Is there anyway to stop the annoying freeviewplus banner appearing every channel change?

I was able to update to the latest version via the network connection. I am still having issues with the unit freezing on me...

I also have the same issue with the tv3 now app. TV nz works ok.

Totally agree about the freeview plus banner appearing... There really needs to be an option to disable that!
