The data is there is the source so it must be an issue with the downloader program.

thesystemera: Hey great piece of software..  Curiouse though, don't seem to be getting channel Three, Four and Six..  Are these just temporarily down or something?  Otherwise, all the rest are working fine in MediaPortal.  Thankyou.

Is anyone else getting this?
Can you explain better have you mapped all the channels correctly?

It is in the source so should be working.

If all other channels are working fine its not a problem that i can control (it may be the source or you have not set it up correctly.

I just started using gb-pvr, and naturally wanted to use your program with it. I followed your instructions exactly, the epg seems to download, but when I try to access the tv guide, the program crashes. The same thing happens when I click live tv.

Any ideas? I would like to get this working by 10:30 so I can record torchwood...

Thanks...

No idea why it crashes.
Have you put the xmltv.dtd file in the same folder as the downloaded xml file?
All i can suggest is double check you have everything set up correctly.

I've done it from a clean install of gb-pvr four times today, deleting all settings as I go.

I get tv when I select the dvb epg broadcast, but once I change to the xml it doesn't work.

As for the xmltv.dtd, is it or is it not supposed to be there?

The xmltv.dtd file should be in the same folder as the .xml file.

If you have followed the directions given it should work.

Do you have 64bit version of windows?
But basically seems to be an issue with GB-PVR (which has nothing to do with me), prehaps sub has some idea what is going wrong :s

Does the tv work fine when you dont have xml configured, but crashes when you do?

I would double check the your setup (dont reinstall).
how big is the .xml file?

I didn't see anything about the xmltv.dtd file on the gb-pvr how to page. Where is it?

I'm guessing that is my problem. I'll do a bit of playing around and see.

I'm running 32bit vista.

But the xml seems right, it is 679 KB, and has all of the listings in it as far as I can see.

Yeah, thats fixed it.

I'm guessing the line reffering to it is "Paste/browse to add the path where the xmlEPG file will stored."?

It doesn't seem ver clear to me. Could you clear it up just to make sure no one else makes the same mistake that I did?

Thank you very much for all your help, and for such a brilliant program.

Cool, so putting the dtd file with the xml file stopped the crashing and it now works?

For some reason that didn't work.

So I just uninstalled, deleted the gb-pvr folder, reinstalled, set everything up but this time I stuck the epg file in the install folder instead of a subfolder.

Just one more thing though. Is it possible to make a clone of the tv3 epg to go with TV3(AC3)?

Just curious, what does this program do? Does it reformat the XML to work with different applications i.e. do they not support XMLTV?

It downloads and extracts an xml file that contains the EPG for freeview stations.
The applications must support xmltv to work.

I see. So it's working around the fact that Windows doesn't include wget/gzip etc. Thanks :)
