cb1: . Interestingly, the ET wouldn't pick up the new firmware (or old versions) from the same USB thumbdrive I have used before,
Same here... was getting rather pissed off, then came back and read your post..
also notice menu list button on remote works again..
robjg63: Hi Graemeh, You couldnt by any chance post that version somewhere could you?
Maybe Filefactory.com
I only have the November 2008 version and I dont know where I could get any earlier ones from.
I would like the ability to roll my box back - though at the moment the latest PVR version doesnt look too awfull, but I havent tested it too much.
cb1: I just noticed a post on the freeviewshop forum regarding being unable to revert back to earlier versions of the firmware after the 1st PVR firware version. Reply from freeviewshop saying it is possible and gives a link to a version of the firmware
See - http://www.freeviewshop.co.nz/forum/index.php/topic,997.0.html
Link for this version of firmware is -

Also from a post long time ago, it was discovered that there was another brand (Visione) which used the same firmware as the ET - appeared to just be reboxed. They have updated their website with details of the PVR s/w being available and a short pdf manual on instructions of how to use the PVR.

InspectorGadget: Here is the file again if anyone is interested. It looks like files on Mediafire only expire after 30 days of inactivity, so the link should last a bit longer this time.Just to confirm, can you go directly to this version from the first PVR update version?

They also show another TEAC box that is listed on the harmony remote database, so you don't have to enter the ET box commands manually.
