joshhill96: Hi Guys
Just a little update, we have selected a few people over November to participate in a test which allows us to get feedback from end users on new firmware, so far the feedback has been successful and we are raising these up with Pixel Magic, we will continue to work with these users and hopefully we can provide you all with more information fairly soon.
Good to hear that there's been progress on this. I'd be keen to receive the new firmware and test it, as we have also been experiencing this issue for the last couple of months, and it's been doing my wife's head in!
Any chance of being included in the test, or eta on when it might be available for the masses?

If you can't laugh at yourself then you probably shouldn't laugh at others.

joshhill96: Hi Guys,
I am confirming with the tech desk about the Magic TV firmware, I can only say that we have had a lot of activity with beta testers and we are trying to isolate and try and solve the issue using a range of methods which we have been in touch with a user. Once we sort that out we will then update you before the Christmas Break.
Kind Regards Joshua

JefWright: Is lack of customer unit a problem? You can have mine if you'll just copy the recorded programs off onto another disk (I'll provide one). It's latest trick is that 2 to 5 recorded programs per day have no name or synopsis. Sure, I can just watch them and deduce what the program is but it's painful.

2lostkiwis: Has anyone had v3.20NZ crash?
RingoTB:2lostkiwis: Has anyone had v3.20NZ crash?
While I have downloaded it, I have not tried it. I am using your hacked firmware 3.17 (1 min forward, 8 sec backward, and the http server) and I do not want to loose that functionality unless I really have to. The MagicTV did a restart yesterday on us, so it is still occurring to me in West Auckland.
Will you be releasing a hacked version of 1.20 ???

I use the same v3.17 as well. I wish you to apply your 'Magic' (pun intended) to v3.20

I have patched the v3.20NZ firmware, but don't really want to release it publicly yet. I still have some remaining hope that we get this crashing issue fixed - so I don't really want to cloud the issue with people running modified firmware.
