Hi

I have my UHF pointed to MT Campbell in from Richmond I am getting 100% UHF on normal TV NZ channels but when it comes to prime channel and choice only about half strength

My UHF Ariel is about 2.5 m off the ground good clearance

Any idea why those to not good signal?

Thanks

Does the Kordia multiplex (Prime, Choice, Parliament, Kordia TV, ChineseTV & Firstlight) transmit at the same power as the other multiplexes?

Have you checked Maori TV and Te Reo on the Maori multiplex?  That multiplex is higher in frequency than the Kordia multiplex, so if you are having problems with the higher frequencies, it should be even worse.

In any case, if you are receiving the channels fine, then the signal strength and quality is irrelevant.  Are you actually having problems watching or recording the Kordia mux channels?

There are no errors showing, so there is no problem.  The signal strength and signal to noise ratio numbers you get from digital tuners are only comparable between tuners of the exact same model.  Even different models of tuners from the same manufacturer report different numbers when connected to the same aerial.  With a digital signal, all that matters is that you are not getting any errors.  Any other numbers reported by the tuners and "green" or "yellow" ratings of them are pretty much meaningless.
