You know how everything to eat that tastes good is bad for you

Well I was wondering about the use of Iframe not being a web proffesional Is iframe not good ? I have need to use tumblr and wordpress I have found that Iframe is almost a fixall for any embed problems i have.
Which made me think is there a problem using it Is it to easy?

IF all else failed, then iFrame as your last resort.

while iframes were accepted to a certain extent by some in the past, these days it is probably frowned upon -  if not from a security point of view but also a UX should be enough reasons to avoid using it

Open gmail, count iframes.  I count 9, there are probably more :)  admittedly they're not really using them in the way you probably mean, but I'd say they still have their place. Like most things in the world of web development you just have to use them where they make sense, and be careful with them.

sidefx: Open gmail, count iframes.  I count 9, there are probably more :)  admittedly they're not really using them in the way you probably mean, but I'd say they still have their place. Like most things in the world of web development you just have to use them where they make sense, and be careful with them. 


Which is one of main reason Google is making new email client Inbox by Gmail.

iframes are pretty much the devil.

Mostly because of the potential disconnect between the address in the address bar and where the content comes from.

i.e. website is www.totallylegit.com - iframe is from www.stealyourbankdetails.ru - no way to tell. iFrames are also used to spread malware on legit sites for the same reason.
