We do not seem to have a specific Google forum (unless I have gone blind which is always possible..!) so I am posting this as a general question.

My account, which is a subscription G Mail thing needed to provide the easiest email through my website (apparently) has recently been designated a “brand account”, whatever that is.

I would not normally care what they called it, but now that they have, the You Tube app on my smart TV won’t work with brand accounts...no idea why but apparently it wont. It worked fine before.

My question is therefore why has it been so designated, what does it mean to me and does it now mean I have to create a whole other one to do things a brand account won’t work with?

I've got Gsuite and can sign in to all Google services. The only downside is I've noticed that I do not get some of the features regular Google accounts get.

There is a generic guide on brand accounts Here. You can also manage it all from the control panel too.
