Hi

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience purchasing from Mobile Station?

The Mrs wants a Galaxy S8 and they seem to have a good price on one.

What is under contact us? Also check where domain is registered as well

Red flag PO BOX only I would not deal with them, You can't visit a PO BOX and throw your toys about

Where the heck is that? Making out it's a NZ based company with having .co.nz on the end of the domain

Edit: Seems to be in China - Shenzhen

I used to buy phones often from them when they had a store in the Auckland CBD. However a few years ago they changed to delivery only, can't go to a physical store, haven't purchased from them since.

Had zero issues with the phones I did purchase from them.

If you do a Google search for "Mobile station review" you will find their PriceSpy reviews. Think I would avoid them too.

Hi,

I have bought off Mobile Station twice and first time the LGG5 had major issues with loose fingerprint button, dodgy reception and poor gps, seemed like a second hand or reconditioned phone. Second time the phone came in with a two deep scratches on the screen, when I tried to return it they said I had done it and they wouldn't take it back. I had just opened the box, saw the scratch photo'd it and sent to them, they reckoned I was a liar.

Never again - you get what you pay for!!

I've bought two phones from them. The first was replaced twice under warranty, and the third time it broke I had to take them to the disputes tribunal under the CGA to get a full refund, as they claimed it was out of the warranty period (I won a full refund - no surprises there).

They fought the whole way, refused (or just didnt understand) their obligations under the CGA, they were schooled by the Adjudicator, and they admitted that this was their MO - they never fix anything after a warranty expires and they are in the disputes tribunal all the time.

The warranty repairs took MONTHS. not weeks, months. Lots of threats of rejecting the goods before I got a replacement.

They trade under the Company name Future Technology Limited, although you wont find that on their website anywhere. When you eventually get your invoice it will be from a Hong Kong company (I forget the name). They appear to do this to avoid paying GST - so I'm sure they will get in trouble somewhere, sometime.

Personally, I wouldn't deal with them ever again. I prefer to pay a premium and deal with someone like PB Tech.

Well true colours have come out from this Company, hints of a threat in this ?? Just because I asked them about the scratch on the screen of a new phone straight from the box and getting one that was undamaged....

I bought a few phones from them way back when, luckily I didn't have any issues, but have heard of many people who have, would recommend to avoid.

I bought a phone from them which appears new, but the battery is heavily worn and dies within half a day's usage (my previous year-old phone of the same model lasted much longer). 3rd party apps also show the battery has hundreds of discharge cycles.

They responded once and gave the stock standard automated response of "please send item back for inspection, this may take 2-3 weeks". I told them I wasn't doing that only to have them say there's no issue. They are now ignoring me completely and if they don't reply in a few days I will be taking them to Disputes.

I would be happy with a genuine guaranteed brand new replacement, but I think they can/will only source more of the sort of phone I got - ex demo or whatever it is. Thus I want a refund.

Couldn't tell you what is worse. One day or Mobile Station...

At least new with Mobile Station what you buy is new and not a refurb with no charger, coming in a tray with scratches and damage and a buggered battery...
