When with them, just goto their website on your mobile add the phone and the code at checkout and the headphones pop up, and then be like well you can't get the $400 off online so that's why you had to come in store. Guy didn't ask for that mynl email there after.

Had a look at the demo units at Noels. The shiny metal case with sharper edges than normal looks and feels less premium than prior model IMHO. That said, if you are happy with 2 degrees as your provider for the next two years, then the pre-order offer is the best value for money phone offer I have ever seen. Period.

Joined and cancelled open term plan same day, they even offered the lower $30 plan when i asked to cancel but I told them that prepay is cheaper for the same, csc was like yeah and happily cancelled the open term.

Did 2 Degrees enforce the repayment of the $400 discount per their standard terms and conditions? They should, and if they didn't, they are only encouraging more buyers to do the same.

2degrees does not ask for this discount back - see my reply earlier on. Vodafone does have this in their T&Cs.

My read of 2degrees Clause 13 here is that you are required to pay back the value of any discount. However, if they are not enforcing it, then all power to the punters to take advantage of them I guess.

That clause says "minus any handset subsidy"...
