everybodylovesfebs: How do you install NZ voice?

Ah, under "Voice input and output settings" go to Voice recognition settings and select "English (New Zealand)

Thanks! Made a huge difference how the phone interprets my voice.

Hi Guys, my phone has stopped receiving calls and it may need to go back however they tell me to first do a factory reset. Before I do that I need to do a full back up. It seems that Titanium Backup will do this, however for that to work the phone needs to be rooted. If I root the phone it seems the retailer / Samsung may object and say I've voided the warranty. Is this correct? Can anyone comment usefully?

Quick question: how do you take a screenshot on the SGS? I seem to have accidentally taken one of my lock screen, so wondered how I did it. Is it something to do with holding the volume buttons down in combination with the front button?

Certainly not an expert like most on here but you could trty using Samsung Kies to backup but word is that it isn't that great.

Try Google sync and also mybackup as it doesn't need to have phone rooted.

I googled the above but can't post links :)

ok just a quick survey as to what Rom's everyone is using and why.

I'm on Darkyrom2 xxkg2 odexed base r3
kg6 baseband seems to work fine with XT
supercore 1.4

Why Darkyrom, still too new to flashing to have a good answer but like the darkyrom tooll as it makes flashing a breeze.

Thanks DA was looking at the KH3 but as its only come out was a bit hesitant, I did try KG6 but it had that CRt off thing which made me think my phone was naffed so went back to KG3.

I see a few are on cognition and was curious as to what people think  and also CM7.

Where did you get your phone from?

What language options are shown?

Hi guys, I got my S2 from JB Hifi yesterday and I'm pretty pleased with it. I came from iOS so not yet familiar with Android, rooting etc. it's all numbers and letters to me

how many hours/days do you get of usage on the S2?

I'm currently charging. On the last charge I got 13 hours, but that included the time I didn't use it (sleeping!). With the screen on I only managed to get around 5 hours. Is that reasonable? I know dual core 1.2ghz so it uses heaps of power etc. etc. but just wanting to get an idea what you guys get from it.

I'm running Gingerbread 2.3.3 XWKG3. What firmware are you on and what's the best battery are you getting?
