They are listed for $1400 at Supero available with all colors, seems pretty good price

Edit:

'They' means Pixel 7 Pro

Is anybody having any issues setting up "Chat" in Google messages? I'm on Spark and it just won't verify my number to work. It was working fine on my Pixel 5, but just won't work on my Pixel 7 Pro!

It does take a lil while to verify/set itself up.

Like a good 5-10min on my P7P on Spark. My mum's old oppo a72 took a good 30min on Spark to do it. Also had to turn off the wifi

I'm talking about days, not minutes. I'll keep trying and see what happens.

Try killing Messages and reopening it, then try it again.

Killed it, wiped it, restarted it... Nothing has helped unfortunately.

had this a couple of months ago. Nothing seemed to enable it.
Found some advice online to disable chat features, then do absolutely nothing for 10 days and then try enabling it again.

Worked for me.

Kia ora koutou,

I recently got a Pixel 7 Pro from Australia (JB-Hi-Fi) and brought it here (I was using Pixel 4 previously). Just to give a bit of background, I am using Spark!

When I first got Pixel 4, 2 years ago - Spark folks said I can't use eSIM. I just did an online SIM change to eSIM and it worked on my Pixel 4. No issues what-so-ever. Then when I wanted to transfer it to my Pixel 7, I couldn't - instead I had to go to a Spark store to get it replaced (don't forget to bring a valid photo ID!)

What's interesting is that with Pixel 7 and spark. voLTE seems to be working. I get HD indicator and my 4G line still stays on and it doesn't drop to 3G/2G. Additionally, there is an option for 5G. Now I can't test if 5G is working or not - as I don't have 5G coverage here in Queenstown (checked with Spark). I wonder when can we get Voice-Wifi to work with Spark

Also as someone pointed out, Pixel is loading a special carrier file for Spark which gets VoLTE turned on and perhaps 5G!

My P7P is from JB Hifi aussie as well, and same boat. But 5G doesn't work here, I've been to the 5G parts of Whanganui and Palmerston North with my phone, and it never gets a 5G signal.

TBH - i'm not too worried, 5G is useless Worse than 4G for speed anyway lol.

5G is not worse than 4G! in Auckland and Hamilton I regularly see 500+ Mbps on 5G 2degrees

For those who have purchased the P7P from Mighty Ape, can you confirm what model they are selling? AU vs US vs GB vs JP I guess

Not sure who told you 5G is worse for speed than 4G, but this is entirely incorrect. 5G is much better and if attainable, the more desirable option.

Depends where you are in the world. Some places rebrand existing tech as 5G. In NZ that kind of silliness has not happened thank goodness and thank telcos.
