Curious how 2D missed out. At least it's progress though.

mrgsm021:

Seems like the Pixels are increasingly becoming a viable alternative to Sammys with 5G/VoLTE/VoWiFi working on the three main carriers.

Just double checking that VoWiFi also works now on Vodafone / Spark? Currently using the hack listed earlier in the thread to get VoWiFi, but if the beta also enables that it would be worth joining.

VoWiFi not working for me on Spark. VoLTE and now 5g work out of the box.

Same here on a P6P after the March update. Have you got 5G working? VOWIFI is disabled in Phone Information for me :(

I too opted into the Beta program yesterday.

Will we still get the "March update"?

Hi all,

Just picked up on this thread and figured somebody might be able to help me/ others may be experiencing same issue.

I recently bought a Pixel 6a from Australia and am on Skinny - it's not working at all - showing an ! and triangle (indicating no connection to network), but occasionally picking up 'H' signal.

It worked while roaming for five days of trip and last two stopped altogether with same issue noted above.

I have obviously done the chat thing with Skinny and had no luck. Do people recommend trying the guide posted on Reddit above? And/or opting into Android 13 Beta? Or am I experiencing a completely different problem? Thanks in advance!!

I'd say a completely different problem.

All versions of Pixel 6a should be able to get 4g data. If android updated you'd also get LTE.
I would have thought apn info would have been picked up automatically from the sim but maybe check that it is there.
Should be something like this

Yes, there were never any problems known with 4G data. With my limited knowledge I'd guess it's a weird network registration problem related to your sim. Shut down the phone and boot it with a skinny supermarket sim and some credit to test that theory.

Edit: booting without the sim and booting again with your existing sim might be worth a shot.

Thanks Farcus and GZT for your replies!

I just tried the supermarket SIM option with no joy... It came up with 4G bars on my old phone but not on the Pixel...

APN settings are the same as in link except for the MMS one but assume this is only going to effect MMS messages.

Would a hard reset of the phone likely do anything?

Also just fyi running on Android 13.

Thanks

Yes you still get the March 5th security patch on beta. The March feature drop (non beta) is all the features that were already being tested in the last few beta releases so yes you get all these features and more.

Sounds like a faulty phone if you get the same issue on multiple sims. Did your testing include multiple networks?

No, I could try 2degrees supermarket sim as a next step.

Thanks

Should work as a test of network coverage/if your phone is faulty. But for VoLTE and 5g the carrier settings only appear to exist for Spark and Vodafone. 2dgrees appears to use the default carrier settings which is VoLTE, VoWifi and 5G disabled.
