WallySimmonds: Is there any downside to getting one from NL or dse? I'm assuming they're vf branded...
Neets: On the road using GPS with google maps and it is spot on. It showed us on the T intersection perfectly. I'm impressed. Maybe I'm easily impressed or fortunate my GPS works without a problem.
WallySimmonds: Yeah, DSE have them for 9 hundy, so I think I'll go pick up one today. I was gonna wait for the Desire HD, but it's still pretty pricey and cbf'd waiting a month (possibly longer) for a phone thats *slightly* better.

Neets: Tape - funny. Maybe your nickname should be Macgyver.
I bought mine off ebay Australia. It's an official Samsung Galaxy one. Still fits the phone with the case - just. You'd have to wait a week if you want me to find the seller. Hong kong based. Arrived about a week after ordering. For all that, I've not used it ;)
Neets: Gmail with labels is a life saver

Good Lord, it didn't look that intimidating in the website. Lucky I found it amongst all my shopping (label).

ArtooDetoo:kiwijunglist: I ran the Performance Test: 404128ms average time. Not sure about the others yet, This is outside with clear night sky above me. Will try the other tests later, I'm installing Navigon currently (see thread in android forum), bed time now.
Yikes. That's not too special. My averages are in the 15000 range indoors in my office, in the 10000 range in the family room (which has much glass). It's starting to look like your phone has a fault. Have you considered a replacement?
I'll try outside in a minute and post the result so you can compare in the morning. Seems like you may have neen wrestling with a dodgy handset though. Dang! Sorry if that's the case.
:-(
Catch ya t'morra...
