Hi There!

I know generally people hate these kind of questions, but I am a little bamboozled by the number of ROM's available for the S2. I have been happily on the Lite'ning and that's been fantastic (Battery life could be improved).

Seems like Development has been abandoned however, and so to keep up with the latest releases I was thinking of switching to another ROM. I like the Theme of Litening with the blue, but obviously in the grand scheme so long as the rom can be themed, it doesn't really matter how it looks. I guess I'd be after something pretty similar with great battery life. Most important features:

MUST be 100% bluetooth compatible, including A2DP.
Battery life would ideallly be pretty good.
Fast
Decent support.

Can someone recommend a replacement?

Dlev 2.0 with latest stable siyah release - can't comment on bluetooth, as I never use it.

Dlev 2.0 also and only use the bluetooth between other smartphones.. that works flawlessly. Haven't tried any other ways with bluetooth.

joker97: can anyone explain 2.3.5 vs 2.3.4 vs 2.3.3?

With a little help from Wikipedia:
* 2.3.3 was the first widespread Gingerbread release.
* 2.3.4 added voice/video chat in Google Talk, support for more USB-based accessories, and fixed a battery usage bug on dual-core phones
* 2.3.5 has an improved GMail application, plus several bug fixes
* 2.3.6 fixes a voice search bug
* 2.3.7 adds Google Wallet support to the Nexus S

The next big release will probably be Ice Cream Sandwich, which brings a whole slew of improvements. Most notable is that it will be easier for devs to write apps that work nicely on both tablets and phones.

Went into the Android Market this morning and it asked me to accept terms and conditions, turns out they have given it a new look and feel what I like but I can't find out where you check if you have apps that need updating.

Also a firmware update for the phone as well this monring

Current firmware version PDA:KF3 / PHONE:KE7 / CSC:KF1 (EUR)
Latest firmware version PDA:KI4 / PHONE:KI1 / CSC KI12 (EUR)

Is anyone else using Leomar75 Rom Revolution 2.7.1?

I have been running it since friday and it seems very good, especially with Kitchen Pro Revolution app to finetune/customise.

I was running Lite'ning 6.1 but found voice calls were no where near as good as stock rom. Leomar seems to have resolved this

Can't comment on battery life yet as I have not let it run a full cycle due to constant tutu'ing :P

Yes just started using it since the support has gone for liten'ing.

The Kitchen Pro app is way cool, am running with the KG3 modem as a trial for a little while, since i have so much time on my hands at the moment.

Criskelo rom has good support, good battery life and more skinning that lite'ning rom. Also has addons for different battery meters and lockscreens. An option to record calls, BLN support, and I can't remember what else but if you ask for a feature there's a good chance you will get it. Bluetooth seems fully functional but I've only used my bt headphones and bt file transfer.

Does anyone know where I can buy a oem ac charger? My uk one is playing up, think I damaged it. Would like to replace it with nz samsung charger. I've seen one online but cable seemed quite short, I like how long the one is that comes with it.

Vodafone/telecom stores likely to have them?

I bought one from TradeMe.  This was the item.

I see he has another I9000.  I also have an I9000 phone and been using that charger since my I9100 is from the UK and I couldn't be bothered with the voltage converter.  I checked all the voltage and whatnot and it all matched up.  I've been using the TradeMe sourced charger since end of June and I charge my phone every night (I live in Chch - can't afford to have a flat battery).  No problems with it at all.
