karlwish: Hi All,

Its all unlocked and have all codes with it. Put my Vodafone sim card in and can make calls, but no 3g? Does anyone know if this will run on the 3g network with vodafone and if so how to make it?
Appreciate any thoughts or advice.
Cheers
Karl
karlwish: Hi All,The i897 is a Captivate (from Google search), so not quite the same as i9000, but from the same family of devices.
Firstly complete newbie to this forum and how it works, so apologise if posting in the wrong place.
I have just bought a Samsung i897 AT&T model from the states. I think its the same phone as i9000?

Linuxluver or NZtechfreak, one of you mentioned listening to music via bluetooth headphones. What headphones do you have, and I'm assuming you did your home work, so why those ones? TIA
Everyone else feel free to chime in if you've got some too.

All I want to know is, is the Android 2.2 available for the Samsung Galaxy S i9000t yet?
So.... I've found that the recurring terms are Kies, Froyo, "flashing". I understand that you can upgrade to Android 2.2 (aka Froyo) via Kies (a client software to connect your Samsung device to the PC), but this is not the "proper" way or something, ie. Samsung have not released the update to Android 2.2. And what's flashing?
So should I wait for the official update or the "workaround" is fine? I've also heard problems with the GPS, and lag issues etc. Does Android 2.2 fix all these issues?
