I pre-ordered online with NL. I went into the store they showed me the stock of new boxes but because my allocated one hadn't come through I wasn't allowed it. I could however have purchased it for the now increased price.

Now NL are trying to say their black ones weren't due until the 9th, despite me taking a screenshot of the date saying arrival 2nd Nov, pickup 3rd to 5th and seeing the stock in store.

If NL had made that clear at the time of order, I would have purchased via PBT as they specifically said 9th Nov from the start and had a better offer.

Needless to say I am incredibly frustrated. If u hadn't pre-ordered and just gone to the store on the day, I would have my phone.

If it makes you feel any better, I ordered green and still don't have it. On top of that the sales person told me the headphones were noise cancelling, but looking at the info now I see they are not (I wasn't really paying attention tbh). Tempted to cancel the order and buy another iPhone instead. My entry into Android/Huawei products has not been a great experience at all.

Can you not cancel your order and buy another same deal? It's still available here. https://www.noelleeming.co.nz/huawei-mate-series-order

It looks like the screen issues have only been with the lya_l09 models not the l29 models we have...

Has anyone from the PB Tech pre-order received theirs yet? Mine don't appear to have shipped.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

If it's black, it's arriving on 7th or so I was told. Pbtech green orders arrived.

Hmm.. You should probably chat or call them. Many here told they picked it up on 1st evening itself.

I've had it since Friday and noticed no screen issues. Was probably just a bad batch.

No, it's not coming to NZ. I have also checked about the Huawei GT watch and that's not coming either.

So for my issues with carrier aggregation on the mate 20, I've confirmed on German telecom, B7 + B3 works.

so seems to be a carrier policy set on spark or possibly the AUS firmware that we all seem to have?

Sorry for my ignorance to ask this. Is it limiting you to do anything? or degrading the service?

Degrading service.

Inability to use B7 or B40 in CA means i'm effectively limited to B3 + B28 for CA.

whenever the phone jumps on B7 or B40, there is no CA used at all. so i'm down to single band preformance.

Real world, at peak tower load, i dropped to 20mbit on B40, While in the same spot on the same device i was still pushing 120 on B3+ B28.

The Mate 20 pro seems to prefer or respect carriers pushing towards higher bands, so i sit on B7/B40 alot more now, thus notice it.

my main issue with it though, is i can't enjoy 4.5G or 4.9G speeds! i was looking forward to visiting a larger tower and testing at 1gbit ;)
