Inability to use B7 or B40 in CA means i'm effectively limited to B3 + B28 for CA.

whenever the phone jumps on B7 or B40, there is no CA used at all. so i'm down to single band preformance.

Real world, at peak tower load, i dropped to 20mbit on B40, While in the same spot on the same device i was still pushing 120 on B3+ B28.

The Mate 20 pro seems to prefer or respect carriers pushing towards higher bands, so i sit on B7/B40 alot more now, thus notice it.

my main issue with it though, is i can't enjoy 4.5G or 4.9G speeds! i was looking forward to visiting a larger tower and testing at 1gbit ;)

I was just looking at some benchmarks - comparing the OPPO Find X and the Mate 20 Pro - the OPPO Find X is actually faster overall. The only reason I wouldn't use the OPPO is the lack of NFC. Otherwise they are similarly priced too.

Yep. there goes the theory that it doesn't affect LRY_l29

i do have the LG screen that's meant to have the issue so... yeah...

I'll speak to the folk about a replacement tomorrow... i know stock has gone fast and there is a delay on getting in stock (maybe to fix the screen issue?)

Think I will cancel my pre order. This is going from annoying to just plain frustrating. An iPhone XS is suddenly more appealing :)

I used 'device info hw' that I saw on a Huawei forum - when you open it, it's on the first page under touchscreen.

i have the lg v20 not v30, it has burn in issues which are a pain but manageable.

Given they are replacing units, i'll be getting it replaced soon as reasonable.

I will note, it's nowhere near as bad as the internet makes it out to be.

Looks real bad on photos though.

Yeah thats my thoughts and i also dont think its a deal breaker. When does it occur mostly?

Quick question, I keep being blow away by what this device can do, did they keep they ability to use a mouse and keyboard in desktop mode? and i thought i read there was a wireless desktop mode but i might be dreaming.

I cant stop looking at pics on flickr etc, that wide angle in macro mode is gorgeous.
