mahdibassam:
heavenlywild: I wonder where Supero gets their stock from?

I'm interested too but don't want any telco splash screens or bloatware.

Supero - and all other parallel importers - usually stock Hong Kong and Asian models.

Yes my note 10+ snapdragon came from Taiwan.  No issue with it working in nz, however updates were a bit slow (still on the june update).

Been using galaxy 42mm watch since release and finding battery starting to die going  from 3 days down to 1.5 days so was looking at this which looks brilliant upgrade and played with watch at noel leeming before lockdown and felt good size and quality and liked,  but then seen price $750 and don't think i could justify that price so will just wait until good deal comes around for it.

I have the 44mm galaxy watch and love it. Battery still going strong.

Samsung are definitely going the wrong way on their pricing.

Galaxy watch - $400
Galaxy watch active - $300
Galaxy watch active 2 -$600
Galaxy watch 2 - $700

Galaxy watch at the smaller size was $499 at launch but only for the smaller size. The larger one (at launch) was $549

Your pricing spectrum is wrong.

Am I missing a setting, why does the screen no longer light up when a notification comes through?

They gave me a dual-wireless charging dock, 10K mAh wireless charging battery, and superfast charging plug, as bundled extras with the watch so I'm comfortable.  Feels like a much more refined device this time compared to the original.  The bundled leather strap is much nicer than the bundled rubber one that came with the original.  It's also faster to respond to touch and bezel movement, which is something that frustrated me about the original.

Anyone rate the Buds Live? I still haven't opened mine, I've read they're no good for the gym so I'm sticking to the Power Beats Pro.

They are an improvement over my senheisers from last year. Better volume, battery and clarity. Only gripe is that I can't find a way to answer calls when removing from box and both the box and buds are slippery as hell.

I find the audio quality is superior to my Buds+, which is crazy given they don't have foam tips or anything to create the seal. I'm very impressed with audio quality and general comfort.

The touch controls I find not as easy to locate as the Buds+. The noise cancelling is only really there to block out nuisance noises in a certain range, eg enabled I can't hear my heatpump but disabled it's clear as day. But likewise I can hear other things when enabled, like voices. So it's actually quite a cool implementation for my usage.

They feel very comfortable and secure in my ears, and don't have the disadvantage of pressure building up in my ears like I sometimes get with tips inserted on my Buds+. For context, I'm a person who can't use Airpods or even wired Apple buds because they aren't secure and therefore the sound is inconsistent and poor.

I like them a lot.

It's been reported here that:

As of Thursday morning CET, there have been over a hundred reports of visible camera module gaps on the back of the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, and some early adopters even spotted dust particles and codnensation droplets appearing on the wrong side of the smartphone’s rear glass panel covering its triple-camera setup.

Both issues could point to wrongly assembled devices, but Samsung has yet to admit to any widespread issues with the first Galaxy Note 20 Ultra batch. In a statement provided to local media in South Korea, a company official said minor water condensation effects, by themselves, aren’t evidence of a manufacturing defect and shouldn’t impact functionality. With that said, Samsung is currently reviewing the reports, but if you aren’t keen on waiting, you can always have a chat with one of its customer reps to figure out if you’re eligible for a proactive warranty replacement.

I'm interested to know whether these defects are present in the models sold in NZ and whether it may pay to wait before buying because of this?

Also, in this report it talks about a "green tint" issue with the display. It mentions that the smartphone’s owners said that the green tint appears when the display’s refresh rate is set at 120Hz, and the brightness goes below 30%.

Has anyone experienced this problem so far? Is it serious enough to delay buying the unit, or is it likely to be fixed with a software update?

Thanks for your advice on these possible problems.

Haven't seen any of these problems myself yet, heavy user since day one. But thanks for posting I'll keep an eye out.
