Another thing to keep in mind is Supero is not actually an NZ registered company, so it really might be a bit of a crapshoot making them fulfil their obligations if they decide not to.

It sounds like this is a case of they are good to deal with when everything goes well, but YMMV when things don't go well, especially when it sounds like it wouldn't be the first time they have given someone the run-around. At least with PB Tech, you have multiple methods of escalation, including an active community member here in the forums. But, if you are comfortable wagering your 1500-1600 dollaroos against the risk of being on the hook if things turned out bad, more power to you.

I think the $1649 for the 8GB/128GB 8 Pro + headphones is pretty reasonable, all things considered; its a shame that it wasn't in the mix earlier when I had to make a decision. But then again, I'm not really interested in WarpCharge either, so it would be no great loss for me.

I've found Damian great to deal with and he gets back to me with the software issues I've been having.

That's good to hear, as I would weight feedback on how a company behaves when things aren't going right higher then when they are.

Arguably though, tech support via email/phone etc costs the company nothing compared to repairs or replacement, so it would be interesting to hear if anyone has stories of the latter.

Hmmm I'm still so torn as to where to buy it from!

Also how long will it take to arrive PBtech Vs Supero?

Sounds like a lot of people have bought from Supero on here and had no problems?

I'm leaning on PB tech just because of it being a NZ place but there is that price difference to consider...

Hey guys been following this thread for a while. I ordered my OP8 pro on glacial green. I know there was a price difference but I just like dealing with PB tech and I put it on lay buy just to space out the payments a bit.

One question I have is if it comes with a case. I'm sure it does as seen on unboxing.

Will be posting on here how I go with the phone and purchasing accessories.

Btw I'm coming from a Pixel 2 XL. Looking forward to 120hrz

If you are on Voda or Spark/Skinny, you should consider buying from PB for Band 28 LTE support on its international version hardware

If not, then getting from Supero is just fine

I have personally bought 3 phones from Supero (S8 Plus, 6T and 7 Pro), all got delivered with no issues and Damian had been quick to answer email queries.

That's good to know! I'm on Vodafone so maybe PB tech is the one to go for then!

Should come with at least the clear TPU case.

Ordered the Oneplus 8 8Gb from Pbtech yesterday, its been picked up by the courier today, hopefully wont be a long wait!

I was really tempted to buy from Supero, literally $200 cheaper! But after a thought i went with pbtech.

Why? the real global version (meaning it wasnt tempered with to flash a rom), 2 years of warranty, 4G LTE support, earbuds worth $300+, and a case included. Id say its worth the deal! And i read on the oneplus 7 thread that they usually leave the 30w charger in the box and get the 20w charger as well!

So hopefully its the same for OP8, just so you know, youre actually paying for what OP provides, id be a bit bummed if they take the 30w charger out... its not like a car after all, where you can add extras

Also if anyone doesnt need the extra 128gb, dont get the 12gb ram, 12gb of ram is overkill and youd probably pay for ram storage youll never use. An average user would use at most 6gb of ram!!

I ordered mine from PB today!! Super excited I went for the OPro8 12GB and 258GB because thought I never change phones after 3-5 years, that glacial green looks soo good and the 2 year warranty made it more appealing!

Let us know how it is!

Can't wait to upgrade my Nokia7+
