Except the ROM .rar file has a password to open, which I actually don't know. *sigh*

I have the std 3e Sammy version with their limited menu of options. I really feel the 2e 3B recovery is a must if there turns out to be a good reason to flash into a modded ROM, and I don't have root right now as the old standbys don't work with this stock ROM. I'll try SOC and see if it gives me back root. Is that a market app or a side load from XDA Devs?

I can't believe I'm out of town ONE day using my phone where there's reasonable battery usage and there's a flippen new ROM that's worthy of flashing IMMEDIATELY!

Well mainly not flashing because there are no roms with the themes that I like yet. plus don't want to give up CWM and I don't think flashing an alternative kernel is a good idea as it basically negates all the benefits that the new stock kernel brings.

Well, Odin's gone into some kind of huff thing and refuses to communicate any more.

The phone says "Install default apk-files, please wait
Install default apk-files, finished"

and it too is refusing to do anything else.

Time to attempt to re-start the phone I suppose. If it'll let me.

Lol I seriously hope you don't have issues ArtooDetoo. My first time using Odin was slightly scary but I followed a good guide so it was all good. As long as you can still access Download Mode you basically can't destroy it anyhow.

Much earlier he said he didn't have 3BR recovery. You asked if he had lost it and I didn't see any/the reply. I'm sitting here waiting .... waiting .... waiting. Sounds like waiting for a rom to flash ;-)
