I reset the network settings and it worked for a few mins, then gone again.

Second issue with 2 degrees, every SMS i send, the recipient receives it about 10 times. wt*!

My vodafone sim which sits in the 2nd sim slot has no issues whatsover and everything works fine with it!

Im going to get a new sim from 2degrees tomorrow and see if it might have been a sim card issue! but the same sim card was working perfectly fine in my exynos note 20 ultra.

WT*s all around!

oh no what a huge dissapointment. let us know if the new sim fixed the issue. keen to know what might be the issue. worst case you might have to back all photos data and then reformat the note 20

The 2degrees issue persisted even with new sim. However it was location based. In some areas my Internet and sms worked fine, in other areas it was messed up. Not sure whether it is an incompatibility between the n9860 model and 2degrees, or whether I have a faulty unit or what. But I ended up switching to Vodafone and it is working perfectly fine now.

The 5G doesn't work in nz on the n9860 model even though all the correct bands are supported, as the device needs to be certified fed in nz.

Overall probably not worth importing the snapdragon model, only thing you really gain is a bit better battery life, while you lose 5g (at least for now).

I wonder if people would import a 4G Snap Dragon instead
I hope the performance is going to be awesome for Gaming ETC
4G ain't so bad with speed :)

hi...any of your phone heats up? mine does when using camera esp zoom and 4g mobile data.

I went similar route with with HK S20U SD (SM9880) and using same 2Deg / VF setup. Just thought I’d let you know what I found although the Note20 maybe different.

Very similar issues, basically using 2 sims is a nightmare, but think I have found a balance that works for me.

5G does work but only if you have the VF sim in SIM 2 on its own or switch off SIM 1.

Similarly I found 2degrees SIM on its own, only plays nicely in SIM 2 or it kept cutting out.

Also with both SIMS used and everything cranked up (5G/ voLTE/ voWiFi) it kept locking up requiring Airplane mode to restore Service.

I now have 2 degrees in SIM 1 set to 3G and voWiFi (calls and txt) and VF in SIM 2 set to 4g (For data) And so far it seems stable.

No 5G, but as main aim was to get work / personal together in one handset and 95% of my time I’m on WiFi, 4G+ is fine, also not much 5G coverage here anyway at moment.

Never had the txt issue, but don’t use SMS much.

Definitely not what I was hoping for but think if you only have 1 SIM, then it would be fine. Just gets messy with 2 SIM.

First android phone after 10 years with Apple and just kinda bought blind other than the draw of 2 SIM and reportedly better chipset. Think next buy cycle I’d stick to local version, or another brand, eSim also might be a an option for dual service or I’d ditch a service and stick to 1 provider.

Still a great phone though, loving the change :)

Hey mate, thanks for the response. I have only one Vodafone sim now as I got fed up with 2dgerees issues. 5g still doesn't work no matter what slot I use. Oh well, il have to "suffer" with lte 😂

^You should check and see if your device is faulty or not. Shouldn't have these issues if settings and bands are correct?

I got my Kogan Sim card yesterday
I signed up for the 32 gb a month plan for 3 months for just $1 :)
Took 10 day's for the sim to arrive
.. uts supposed to be a 4G plan .. but I got 5G speeds in Henderson township and Lincoln Road by the Lincoln Shopping center
On my Note 20 ultra :)
Really happy with this phone!!

Anyone having 2 Degrees 4G data issues on an imported Note 20 - check the following APN setting:

Mobile virtual network operator type = SPN

Mine was set to none by default and the phone would lose internet connectivity, mainly when on the move. Setting it to SPN fixed the issue.

NB. the Spark SIM I also have had no such issues but had SPN set by default.

But that wasnt my only issue. went i sent an SMS, the recipient would received it 10 or 15 times. Have you experienced that as well?

So, after a week or so, I am pretty unhappy with the battery life. It's not managed a day without charge yet. My 10 Plus would get a day easily.

Same apps.

Not impressed.

I think I'll also need a case. The battery bump is utterly retarded. Anyone able to recommend something light and nice feeling?
