I don't have a case, and I am not sure I can "live" with this.

It's the first phone I've ever bought with one fitted if it's actually a permanent protector vs just a peel off one.

Not quite, it has a slightly improved Exynos chip, the 9825.

The only reason they stick with SD in NA is due to Qualcomm holding a bunch of CDMA patents, which some networks still use.

Is it the same piece of plastic on the front that stretches over the edge of the phone, or is it a separate narrow strip along the edge? It's just that my S10+ has the latter, so I have been able to peel off the side piece (and back covering) separately while leaving the front protector on.

TBH, I hadn't noticed this until looking just now (I'd assumed it was a single piece); and, anyway, I'd never risk using an expensive phone sans case (even though it's much nicer handling it without one).

The plastic runs to about 1mm from the edge of the screen of the phone on all 4 sides.

It's good that it includes a screen cover, because trying to apply one afterwards is almost impossible, unless you can get one that curves with the screen, or you get one of the special glass ones that glues onto the screen using UV to cure it.

When I read about the air gestures with the pen I thought that would be something that I wouldn't use, since I don't use my phone to make presentations.  But when I played some MP3s and found I could increase or decrease the volume, go to previous track or next track - I thought "wow, this could actually be useful to me".

Having played with the Quick Measure app, I'm impressed by how cool and potentially useful it is.  This is something the 10+ can do, but not the 10, due to the presence of the ToF sensor on the 10+ only.  That app isn't the only benefit of the ToF sensor either.  I couldn't in good conscience recommend the gimped Note 10 to anyone!  IMO get the Note 10+ or go with something else (non-Samsung or S10 or Note 9).

I doubt anyone that hasn't pre-ordered and buys a 256GB version will have an issue.  256GB or 512GB - either way there is tons of space for apps & data with room for many photos & videos as required.  Either way you get 12GB RAM and the phone should handle whatever you need.

I like the 15W wireless charger, that's got to be much less wear & tear on the USB socket than plugging in to the charger every night.  I'm having no problem wirelessly charging with the phone in its case (currently a Spigen case until I can get a Quadlock case).

I've got my Bose QC35 II headphones automatically connecting to my Tab 4 or my Note 10+, all working perfectly.

I've set up Google Pay with my Visa debit card, I'll have to test that out at some point.  My Xiaomi Mi Max 2 didn't have NFC, so I couldn't use Google pay on that.

I haven't had much opportunity yet to play with the cameras, just a little test of low-light in night mode - I was quite impressed.  I'm used to small sensor cameras having VERY bad quality in low light, a couple of photos I took in very low light came out pretty good.

Front camera - the location isn't an issue 99.9% of the time IMO.  It's quite rare to be looking at something formated to use the entire screen, due to the ratio used.

As I use the phone and explore its capabilities I'm very impressed.  I'm glad I bought it, it is a good step up from my previous phones.
