antaeusa:robjg63: Do you know someone else with an S3?
I would be inclined to see if you can borrow a battery for a few minutes - pop it in your phone and make sure the phone still goes - then hook it up to your charger and see if it looks to be charging. If it looks like it is then my money would be on a dead battery.
I suppose if it looks like its charging with your phone/battery plugged into the charger that probably points to a dead battery as well.
If its just the battery then I would bite the bullet and just buy a replacement - they look to be <$30 (pbtechs website today).
Batteries get a hard time and a bit over 2 years is probably not unusual.
If its a problem in the phone though I would have a go at the CGA.
Bought a new battery and a new charger. So its none of those..unfortunately.
Bummer. Have a go with the CGA then - you have nothing to lose.
I did find this thread describing the sort of problem you are describing:
http://forums.androidcentral.com/samsung-galaxy-s3/284668-samsung-galaxy-s3-charging-issue.html
Dont know if there is anything helpful on it - some people are swearing its the cable. When you say new battery and new charger - is it a new cable as well? Couple of people swear this was the issue. Also - on the second page someone did a reset of the phone and said it fixed the issue. Worth a shot?
