Nexus 6 is too big for me, I think I will pass... I was hoping the rumor of 2 versions of the Nexus 6 was true, a 6" and 5.2"...

I'm all in for the Nexus 9 though, just have to wait for it to release here. If NZ isn't in the initial release countries, I presume Aussie will be, so I'll just get my Sister to get one over for me.

I was hoping the L name was going to be Licorice...

Krishant007: They really need 32gb to be minimum for tablets. I wouldnt mind the lack of SD card if the capacities were higher (64gb is a good size to have for tablets).

Regarding nexus 6.. Erm.. Too big for a phone.. They should have capped it off at 5 inches

Same size as the iPhone 6+ but with .5" more screen.

Perfect size

I currently have a nexus 5, i was hoping the 6 was going to come in cheaper than it has so i will have to hold off until the price drops (bugger!). My nexus 7 was cracked on my last overseas trip so im looking for a new tablet as well, the 9 looks the part for that!
Also missing from this thread is the newly announced nexus player. I have an amazon fire which im perfectly happy with, if i didnt though i would be looking at this device for my tv.

I just read that Android lollipop gets released on friday, how long that takes to trickle to my 2degrees supplied N5 is anyone guess, im thinking sometime early 2015!

That doesnt make sense, why would they have a 5.2" version of the nexus 6? the 6 refers to the size. There were rumors they may release a new nexus 5, this didn't eventuate though. However it may happen further down the track.

I am in the same boat. I wonder how long till we get our dainty hands on the update. Anyone have any idea?

I have no idea how long until the update will come through, but I just sideload it as soon as the link is up on android central. Its super easy on nexus devices.

I'd love to get hold of Android 5 for my S4, though I prefer to use the Touchwiz interface so it'll probably take 6 months or more to arrive - if it arrives at all. I find the stock Android interface a bit plain.

Perhaps those who prefer phone sized screens will be catered for by GPE variants of manufacturer flagships? Or by the Android One spec low cost handsets?

I read those rumors that there could be 2 versions on phonearena.com or gsmarena.com...  The rumor was the Nexus 6 (5.9 inch) and Nexus X (5.2 inch). Also, previous rumors were that the Nexus 6 was actually going to be called the Nexus X due to legal reasons, but we got Nexus 6 in the end.

I think i read that new devices would not be available for a month so expect existing devices to start seeing Lollipop rollout a month after that at the earliest. Based on previous updates I am expecting to see 5.0 on my GPE'd One and moto g this side of Christmas and i suspect i will not be disappointed

android.com/lollipop <-- worth a look, some awesome features to look forward to

Just noticed on the N9 promo video that the camera lens sticks out proud of the body. Not a fan of this. More so for a phone but it's asking to get knocked on a tablet as well.

There is a fix for that:

I am running Lollipop on a Nexus 5 and have to say it is great. The battery life is much improved and things are generally a bit more intuitive. The lock screen notifications are great.

Cheers, Matt.

It seems like it's flat when laid down on a table but due to the curve it sticks out a bit when looking at it from a side

No, it isn't too big for many of us. Too big for you, it seems, but that isn't some kind of universal truth.
