Despite the reduced bezels, OP6 will be a huge slab of a phone, just like every other oversized android offering.

Why we just can't get a bezel-less android handset at a similar size to the iPhone X?

jonathan18: How is its price likely to compare to the 5T here in NZ? Was planning on getting a 5T, so have to determine whether it’s worth paying much more. Waterproofing alone could be useful...

$1099 I reckon

I reckon its getting too close to premium pricing at that range.
At $999 Id pull the trigger immediately, otherwise I would consider other premium phones.
Just not a fan of samsung and their bloatware.....

As I understand it, the folded screen required to achieve the 'zero bottom bezel' look is extraordinarily expensive - to the point that Apple probably make less off an Iphone X than off a standard Iphone, despite the astronomical price.

I agree - while Oneplus are presumably creeping more and more to being a 'premium' brand, they are certainly losing price as a differentiator more and more with each release.

@NikT: Any word if PBtech have plans to stock this? Thanks!

Of course!

Great! Any chance you could keep us posted on when PBTech will get the OP6 and expected cost?

I currently have a s9+  I will yet again try not to buy a op6.  If it ends up having stereo speakers I will buy it

Without it being released, the consensus seems to be no so far

If it did it would be the perfect phone for me.

If you have root, you can enable stereo using the stereo mod.

Sure, although it is worth bearing in mind that timing and availability in NZ will be a function of market pricing.

Apology - OT!

NikT - will PB be getting in the Huawei Mediapad M5 into stock at some future point?

Sorry to hijack this thread, there was no option to PM you and not sure you would be reading the M5 thread. Cheers

I don't deal with tablets, but haven't heard anything. Android tablets are pretty dead mate.

I will be picking one of these up. Personally I think Quad HD is wasted on phones. It also greatly effects battery life. I am extremely happy with the screen on my OP5T.

As for a smaller android with tiny bezels check out the leak of the Nokia X.

Yes, the Nokia X offers a ray of hope for those of us that don't want a phablet (-;

Hopefully the X isn't just a China only model! Looks to be almost perfect (notch aside).

It's perfect because of the notch!

Well this is a let down.  No IP rating, no wireless charging (why have a glass back then).

Also notice that they are no longer using "dash charging" and just calling it "fast charging/charger" on their website.  The change of the name is going to get confusing for people.

I wonder if the next step is to drop dash charging and go for QC 4 in the 6t with wireless charging.
