It does look a great phone...

...but is everyone comfortable that Huawei devices are "trustworthy"?

I haven't really kept abreast of the various recent accusations about what they do with the data they have access to, so not sure how much is rumour and conjecture and how much is likely?

It is indeed a nice device. Got one unit here and it is slicker than the Mate 20 Pro. Will setup later tonight.

It will be really interesting to see your comments after using it and when compared to Mate 20 pro.

Depending on your comments, i will make a decision to shift or wait till Mate 30.

I am absolutely happy with the Mate 20 pro but the camera on this P20 pro is really tempting.

Used the Phone Clone app to copy content from my Mate 20 Pro to the P30 Pro. IT worked well - although very few apps didn't copy accross. Most apps were installed and some even kept login details.

Information from the email they sent to use today:

The HUAWEI P30 has an RRP of $1,099 and the HUAWEI P30 Pro RRP is $1,499. The devices come with a stunning design and are available in Aurora (green-blue gradient), Breathing Crystal (light blue gradient) and Black. The devices will be available to pre-order on the Friday 29 March and in stores from 12 April.

Are the NZ models going to be dual sim?

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

All mate 20 pro were dual sim. However the 2nd sim slot can be used for nm SD card that's sold seperately.

I suppose that would be the same for P30 and the pro.

I am waiting for pre order deals to see if they offer gt watch free and I am shifting

Makes it dual slot, doesn't make it dual SIM. :)

The above photography discussion thread about Huawei's latest "iPhone killer" is titled:

Is this a phone with a camera? Or, a camera with a phone

This discussion is well worth reading IMHO.
