Doesn't appear to be. In my chat with Motorola yesterday i asked about the 16gig version. They said it should be in the stores here now and would follow up as to why it wasn't.. Waitng for the 16gig version my self..

Would it be worse if you had one sim for Telecom and one for Vodafone say - as opposed to a vodaone/2 degrees combo?

As much as I am tempted - I think I would want the 16GB version and there doesnt seem to be any sign of that so far.

It's supposed to support two SIM s regardless of the carrier however I suspect you can only use one at a time for 3G..

The only thing I can think why this phone was 'great' was for the processor and screen -- but, none of that is any good if you can't fit barely any stuff on the phone.

You can add memory a number of ways OTG USB stick, micro USB OTG cable and a Micro USB to Micro SD card adapter..

Very cool device. I'll be interested to hear if it works with 4.4 on the MotoG

Been disabled with KitKat but you can use a seperat program like Sickmont plus othres..

Just got an email from Motorola this morning that is a little disappointing..

"At this time Moto G 8GB is available in the market. Presently, there is no information available as to when will the 16GB version be released in New Zealand. "

Guess I'll go and buy a 8Gig version today to have a play with the dual SIM functionality..

They apparently are doing it with the Flip cover, in either Black or White (the cover that is).

Plus they don't have a clue its a Open ended Phone you are not locked into a Carrier, so no need to wait for 2 degrees at all.

Just think its a dual sim phone so is Telecom/Vodafone going to disable the other sim..

That's a Gizmodo Australia review reposted on Stuff. I wouldn't say it's a bad review - they're generally positive about the phone aside from a few minor niggles (lack of LTE, storage space, camera). They also describe the screen as "best in class" but then go on to say it's sharp but bland.

Also I LOLed at this line:

compared to the original, which makes a little bit more sense in the context of Australian Google Play Store subsidies:

"If you’re on a telco contract, then no. get the Nexus 5 instead, which is (AU)$399 off-contract and is better in absolutely every way."

Way i see it is find me another android name brand dual sim phone for $300 that offers the same, including updates to 4.4.2
Most from china etc don't get updates unless they are hacked by users.

This would be perfect for me if it was the 16gig one (would pay $350 for that) as at the moment I have 2 phones, 1 personal and 1 business, this would fix a lot of problems for me, however as i use google music I want the 16gig one.
