Hunter: mobicity web site says the 32GB blue is available

It looks like this is an Australian model:

What's in the box?Unlocked phone, Battery, Original charger, Adaptor plug, Australian wall charger, Wired handsfree

Other than the wall adapter, is there any difference between the Australian version, and NZ versions?

I'm thinking about cancelling my JB order and getting one from Mobicity - if they are in stock right now, AND cheaper... ..I'd like to end my long wait!

The difference is minimal and it is the warranty differences. You have to send it back at your own cost and the wait is longer for repair.

I see.
Not so bad then - I have no local JBHifi store so would be paying for postage on any warranty stuff anyway. Looks like Mobicity warranty is handled in Auckland.

I was mostly concerned about the handset being suitable only for Australian carriers or something (although from everything I have found they are all the same.

JBHifi cancelled my order within 45 minutes of my email, props to them for speedy response.

Order placed with Mobicity, hopefully this time I won't be waiting almost a month!

Edit:
OK just figured out mobicity don't include customs duties (~$40) or GST in their prices. So the $999 32GB is actually going to cost $1195.

Ouch. Guess I might have to go back to waiting for JB!

Where do you get that from??
I have talked to the telco guys at JB, once they get the 32Gb, they will have enough. They haven't got that many paid preorders.
Remember, JB HiFi got more 16s than anyone else, and I dont think anyone waited for them. (They apparently got more in their 13 stores than Noels did in it's many stores)

I got that from reading through the net. There won't be many 32GB available and you might be lucky to get your hands on the first shipment. But next shipment won't be any time soon. Think about it, NZ is such a small market and that is not a high priority for Samsung. Main priority is to ferfilled their orders in the EU and UK and USA.

So whats the cheapest price people are getting the S3 for at the moment???

Looking at 2degrees plans it will cost

$39 per month plan -S3 $799

$799 if you go on a 24 month contract at 39 per month (plan im already on) but I could get one on tradme for the same money so no real benefit there Im guessing and no 24 month contract needed.

$89 per month plan -S3 Free

To get it free starts at $89 per month for 24 months.
So thats spending $2100 over 2 years and getting a $800-$1000 phone free.

$2100 total spend over 24 months subtract the free phones value at $799 leaves spend of $1301 over 24 month contract which gives $54 per month.
This doesn't seem too bad, $15 increase p.m over buying outright on trademe or on a $39 p.m plan.
Good way to get the phone if you dont want to pay up front for it.

Webup - thats what I did. The 2degrees change (was on $59 went to $89) meant $30 per month for me x 24 months or $720 for the phone over what I was going to be paying them anyway. Plus dont remember you do also get extra free minutes to play with as well as a free $100 usb 3g modem for your laptop and the new share data option.

No regrets and love the phone.

I'm going to hold off until mid July. If still no ETA by then I will probably wait for S4 or may be reconsider the baby size 16GB blue S3.

S3 32Gb (both colours) are due at JB Hi-Fi this week apparently.

I here it has shown up in their system as ordered. I am going to St Lukes today and will ask the telco guy there.

Can't be though. I just talked to them yesterday and they said they have nothing concrete about the news of the 32G. I would be really happy if they do have them. As for now no one cough anything when I asked.
