Im gona flash LPQ HD again and this time use the stock kernel (i flashed the hacked one) i found the KP8 modem to be the best for 2 degrees, i always seem to have 2 bars at least no matter where i am.

Hey Lee, Yep got my phone back from the states, repair went well/

Am i able to use the siyah kernel with XXLPQ?, cpu reveals phones all good.

Great news about the phone. It'd feel like a limb amputation for me!

I was playing with Omega 5.2 LPQ when Siyah came out, but was using beta5 with no issues at all.
Betterbatterystats isn't showing any unusual wakelocks? I'm a heavy user (easily use a 2000Mah Samsung battery in a day) but didn't notice any especially unusual drain myself.

Yea its not drain, when the phone idle its pretty good but using the phone for a few mins at a time and drop 2-3 %.

Im having problems like other people mentioned with handcent and gosms sending sms's twice, i HATE stock msging app.

Anyone has a fix for poor wifi reception on the sgs2?

IPhone ipad laptop connects fine albeit at medium sometimes weak signal but sg is at best low and very poor.

Doesn't help that i have atelecom thomson that is inferior at best. I am using the best channel with least interference

What kernel are you running? Remember, Wi-fi is dependent on this alone, whereas voice/data/gps are all modem-related.

I've gone from stock LP7 (only ran it for a day) to Litening ROM, also LP7. My Aunt in Australia said she was receiving double text messages (under both ROMs) yesterday. And I'm using the new Beta Handcent app.

Pretty expensive when you're paying for the texts. Not sure if anyone has any updates on what they've heard as far as solutions go. Cheers.

What kernel are you running? ?Remember, Wi-fi is dependent on this alone, whereas voice/data/gps are all modem-related.?

Siyah kernel 2.6.9 ... Hmm no mention of problems in the xda thread

I had a quick play with Go SMS yesterday with Omega v6.0 (LP2) and had the same problem. I tried freezing the stock app in TB as well. Never tried 3rd party apps before this though.

So far i have fixed the double messaging with Chomp, fixed the Polaris office problem, managed to work out how to re install apps that wouldn't, but moving apps to the sd card has me fcuked.

I have been trying all day to get wallpaper working correctly.

I use just one homescreen and want to use the same wallpaper for that screen and the lockscreen. For some reason the wallpaper fits the lockscreen perfectly but blows out on the homescreen only showing a bit of it and I can scroll around to see the rest of it ><

Is there something I can do to just get that one homescreen showing the wallpaper the same as the lockscreen? Thanks!

I guess I should add that I'm on ICS using Wanamlite 9.9 and Apex launcher.

Just before I sent this I managed to turn off the scrolling, so I can no longer do that, but the picture is still way bigger than the homescreen :(

Usually wiping the cache/dalvik and a permissions fix after flashing the ROM does the trick.

always do full wipe/reset and dalvik, ok got me on the permissions, know how to get to them but not sure what you mean by changing them, to what?

Just go into cwm recovery. Then select advanced and fix permissions. It's an automatic process, no real thinking involved. :)
